She did away with traditional a-line skirts and corsets, and brought in straight dresses and many other fresh outlooks on fashion. She is best known for her ability to marry feminine elegance with masculine structure. The Flapper Dress An iconic look of t h e 2 0 ’ s , t h e flapper dress was a straight line garment, usually adorned with cascading tassels. It was one of the first mainstream dresses to exclude a corset or some s o r t o f a - l i n e silhouette. Away with Binding, in with Elegance Hairstyles In the 20’s, women hairstyles were short and structured, much like the clothes in fashion at the time.
