Broomfield House is the oldest private school in Kew village providing an academically excellent and emotionally supportive early education for boys and girls from the age of 3 up to 11. Headmaster Norton York explains why he approached Bodet to add additional clocks to the system.
What was the challenge you were looking to overcome?
“Following the completion of Harrow House, a new three storey annexe, in 2004, Bodet installed a state of the art synchronised clock system throughout the school. We recently expanded and added 6 extra classrooms to accommodate the growing number of students enrolled, so we needed extra remote controlled clocks to ensure continuity with the rest of the school.
What system was installed?
“We have been very happy with the clocks that Bodet installed some 13 years ago, and we wanted the new clocks to integrate seamlessly into the system. Bodet supplied new Profil 930 analogue clocks for the new rooms. They are wireless, taking their synchronising signal from the Delta Master Clock, so installing them was very straight forward.”
What have you found are the benefits of the system?
“All our classrooms now have clocks and they are all matched both in style and technology. We chose analogue clocks as they are very helpful in teaching the children to tell the time. Every clock in the school shows exactly the same time, and they are all synchronised with the class change system, so the whole school runs like clockwork.”
