The event has been organized by Uttar Pradesh Government to showcase
the investment opportunities and potential in the state.
It will provide a global platform, to bring together ministers, leaders from

institutions and academia from around the world to further the cause of
economic development in the state and promote cooperation.
Seven nations– Finland, Netherlands, Japan, Czech Republic, Thailand,
Slovakia and Mauritius have been identified as country partners for the
event.

‘Olive ridleys on Odisha coast for mass nesting
A portion of the beach has widened to make it safer for mass nesting
naturally - gift of mother nature
Sea waves and winds have widened a portion of the beach near
Rushikulya rookery on Odisha coast, boosting the prospects of increased
mass nesting of the endangered olive ridley turtles this year.
Enlighten about Olive Turtles
Olive Ridley sea turtles come to Odisha coasts for nesting in large
numbers.
Hence the activity is termed 'mass nesting' or 'arribada'.
Worldwide attention is focused on the conservation of Olive Ridley Sea
Turtle in Odisha because about 50% of the total world population of
Olive Ridleys, and 90% of the Indian population of sea turtles been
coming every year .
Odisha coast favorable for sea turtles
Odisha coast is crises-crossed by estuary, rivers, creeks and creek lets, Land
inundated by the saline and sweet water and covered with mangroves,
Estuaries are the breeding and spawning grounds fishes, prawns, crabs and
mollusks.
The river mouth becomes the feeding ground of the sea turtles from October
to May , therefore they having migrated over large distances in the sea to
feed and nesting.
About 50% of the total world population of Olive Ridleys, and 90% of the
Indian population of sea turtles been coming every year . Worldwide
attention is needed for conservation of this species.

Light Transport aircraft
Completed 2nd successful test flight
SARAS PT1N is first Indian multi-purpose civilian aircraft in light
transport aircraft category as designed by the CSIR-National
Aerospace Laboratories (NAL)
Enlighten about it –
India’s indigenous light transport aircraft SARAS has been
successfully test flown for a second time
This was the second of the 20 test flights planned for SARAS
PT1N, before freezing the production version.
The first successful test was carried out on January 24, this year.
The design and development of the aircraft is being done by
CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, NAL.
