FAREWELL FUNCTION TO OUTGOING BATCH (2010-2011) ON 29/04/2011

A farewell function was organized by Department of Information science and

Technology for outgoing students on 29/04/2011. The information about the event has

been intimated to every student through notice. The outcome of which, 122 students out

of 130 has attended the party to share their views on the department and college. Dr. K.

Rajasekhar Rao, Principal & Dean – Administration chaired the session as Chief Guest.

Prof.V.Srikanth Head of the Department of IST and Dr. A. Srinadh, Professor &

President – Vijayawada Alumni Chapter, has joined the folks to deliver greetings.

The function was initiated with a prayer song by N.Soujanya (student alumni

coordinator) and was followed by a brief presentation by Sri K.Ravindranath, alumni

coordinator. Prof.V.Srikanth gave a direction to the Alumni by laying out the role of

alumni, the vision statement and the mission statement, which was well received by the

audience.

On this occasion Dr. K. Rajasekhar Rao, while addressing the students said, all IST

students shall reach the heights of excellence and fulfill their endeavors’. The Principal in

his address stressed that the outgoing batch to give constructive feedback that shall help the

University develop and strengthen in accordance with students needs.

The Alumni president and Alumni Professor In-charge address the out going

students to towards the KLU Alumni Chapter activities and necessary lead in helping the

students of the institution towards placements, obtaining seats at various foreign

universities, etc.

Finally N.Soujanya (student alumni coordinator) proposed a vote of thanks to all

the speakers and students who graced the occasion.

I specially congratulate all the student alumni coordinators, faculty and staff for their kind

cooperation in the success of the event.
