FANZINE SITE PROPOSAL – SNOW

INTRODUCTION• My fanzine website will be a fan website for the band Snow Patrol –

they formed in 1994 after meeting at Dundee University. • The band is currently made up of 5 members: Gary Lightbody (vocals,

guitar), Nathan Connelly (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Wilson (bass guitar, backing vocals), Jonny Quinn (drums) and Johnny McDaid (piano, guitar & backing vocals)

• They have released 6 albums all of which have been very successful. Their most recent album Fallen Empires was released on the 11th of November 2011.

• My website is different from their own one as it will have more information about the band history and each band member. I will also lightly cover past members.

TARGET AUDIENCE• My target audience for this website is anyone aged 16 and

upwards. Snow Patrol’s music is very easy listening and enjoyable by all ages.

• However, their music may only appeal to listeners who enjoy this genre of music, for example, someone who regularly listens to rap music may not like Snow Patrol.

• Snow Patrol have always reared towards rock/pop genre but their newest album has steered towards dance genre appealing to a wider audience.

NAVIGATION METHODSThere are a few ideas that I will consider for my navigation bar. I like the picture icons e.g. Coldplay website – however I like the use words to show exactly what each page is clearly.I have chosen to use words on my navigation bar as it is a lot clearer and goes with my overall theme for my website.
