Welcome to Fantasia Fanatic XXXIII Fantasia Fanatic is one of Sweden’s largest and oldest miniature gaming tournaments, it’s held on two occasions every year; one in the spring and one in the autumn. This pamphlet contains all that you will need to know to take part in the event. If you have any questions or feedback about the event, you are welcome to contact us by e-mail at: fantasiafanatic@gmail.com or call us by phone at: +4690770360. On occasion we may have to update this pamphlet with more information and sometimes also change existing information. In case of this we will post a notification on www.fantasiaspel.se and on Facebook (please like and follow Fantasia Umeå). Note: that after the 23rd of April we will not do any changes that would effect gameplay. We always strive to avoid any late changes, but to make sure that you have the latest version of this pamphlet make sure to visit www.fantasiaspel.se during the final two weeks leading up to the start of the event.

Registration Fantasia Fanatic takes place during the weekend of 5th - 6th of May. To register: First: choose one of the following packages: 1: Fanatic Weekend Pass Base - 300:- (includes entry fee for all tournaments played during the event) 2: Fanatic Weekend Pass Premium - 500:- includes Base Pass plus goodie bag with unique mug with free refill of coffee/saft and more, there are four different designs, one for each game.) 3: Fanatic Weekend Pass Platinum - 800:- (includes Premium Pass plus invitation to Players’ Party) 4: Fanatic Side Event Pass - 200:- (includes entry fee to all SIDE EVENTS played during Sunday) Second: Register your player profile at fantasiafanatic@gmail.com. For your player registration to be completed some additional information is required by the organizers to make your gaming experience as comfortable and interesting as possible. In your Player Profile include the name of the partici-pant and which tournament(s) you are planning to attend. Note that this means that you can play different tournaments during the weekend. The following events will be played at the Fantasia Fanatic.

Main Events. These events will start on Saturday and carry on through the weekend. During the awards cermony the winners will be announced and praised. Malifaux. 50 Soulstones. Gaining Grounds 2018. Warmachine/Hordes. 75 points steamroller. Warhammer Age of Sigmar. 2000 points.* Warhammer 40.000. 2000 points.* *Note that you are allowed to play only one day on any of these events though you are required to mention this in the Player Profile. Any games not played in the specific tournament will award you 0TP.

SIDE EVENTS. These events all take place on Sunday. These will be smaller in size and will be following a tighter schedule. See the SIDE EVENTS folder for further information. Warmachine/Hordes. 75p Hardcore. Malifaux. 35 Soulstones, No Masters X-wing. 100p. For more detailes of the events make sure to check out the appropriate pamphlet.

Saturday Night Shopping at Fantasia

The Fantasia Store will keep open between 19:30 and 21:00 during the Saturday evening. We can guarantee it will be worth loading up your credit card and pay us a visit!

Lunch & Kiosk

During the entire event there will be an open kiosk in the gaming hall. It will be stocked with simpler food as well as drinks, coffee, fruits and candy. The kiosk accepts both cash and Swish payments. During the lunches both Saturday and Sunday there will be a lunch trailer available outside the event locale, which will serve fantastically delicious burgers.

Sleeping quarters

If you don’t want to sleep in a hotel or hostel, you can rent a space in a class room set aside for overnighting partici-pants. The cost is only 50,00 SEK for the entire weekend and payment is done in the same manner as the registration for the event (see above).

The Venue

Fantasia Fanatic takes place in Dragonskolan’s Gymnasium (Swedish: Dragonskolans Gymnastiksal) in Umeå, Swe-den. The address is Signalvägen 3. If you want to use GPS, search for “Dragonens idrottscentrum” and it should guide you correctly.

Malifaux - Main Event 1. 50ss crews following the rules from Gaining Grounds (with the exception that conversions/

proxies are allowed and does not need to be made out of primarily Wyrd parts. They do need to be recognizable as the models they represent. Check with a TO beforehand if unsure)

2. Painted crews! At the Fantasia Fanatic event ALL crews must be fully painted. This includes summoned models.

3. All current source material and models published by Wyrd Games is allowed as long as it is published prior to april 23rd, 2018.

What to bring 1. Rulebooks and stat cards. This include the errata and/or FAQ for models you will be using. 2. A fate deck. 3. Counters and markers for your models and crews. Don’t forget the scheme markers! 4. 3x 50mm stash/symbol/wagon markers 5. A list for 50ss crew (to be used in case you wouldn’t be on time for a game and therefore not

being able to pick a crew in time) 6. Superglue (for last-minute repairs.)

The Tournament We will be playing 4 rounds of 50ss-games.

At registration, you will announce one faction that you will play for the tournament, or two masters of separate factions (of which one can be Wrath).

You have 10 minutes before each game to select your crew. If you can’t make it in time, you will

use the crew on the list mentioned above.

Games All games will have a pre-determined deployment and strategy which will be announced in this document below. All the games will use strategies from Gaining Grounds 2018.

Each game is capped at 5 rounds. Therefore, no flip to determine if the game continues will be

made.

Results After each game, both you and your opponent shall report the result to the TO, including how

many victory points you both got.

Checklist for games

1. Define terrain (Determine Ht and terrain traits. Blocking, Climbable, Impassable, Dense, Enclosed, Severe, Vantage Point and Hazardous. Also determine which terrain pieces that are hard and soft cover).

2. Determine centerline. 3. Announce Faction. 4. Hire crew. (This is allowed to take maxim um 10 minutes). 5. Reveal Crew 6. Choose schemes (These must be written down, or be represented in some other way. If the

scheme requires you to choose specific models you must write these down as well). You are not allowed to note down your schemes only in an app (like CrewFaux). You must have them written down somewhere else as well.

7. Deploy crews. 8. Begin the first turn. Note: Whenever a player shuffles his/her deck, the opponent must be allowed to cut the deck. This should always be done.

Bad things Happen (The app) You may use the app as cards during the game. This includes noting damage etc. However, this must then also be noted next to the models with markers, dice etc. If your device ceases to work for any reason and you can’t retrieve relevant information, you lose the game 0-10. If you can’t get your device working for the next game, you are not allowed to continue your par-ticipation of the tournament.
