- 1. Circulating Fan
By: Sobrina - 2. Selecting a prim.
Click on the Create icon that is selected in green above.
Choose the Cylinder and click on an empty piece of land. - 3. Editing the texture.
- 4. Editing the texture.
Click on the Texture tab, and click on the texture window.
Click on libraries, then textures to open that list.
Click on Misc textures, select Gray Metal Scratched and click OK. - 5. Adjusting the object
Click on the Object tab.
Type in the values for Size shown. - 6. Note: the Cylinder should look like the picture
above.
- 7. Click on the Create icon that is selected in green
above.
Choose the Hemi cylinder and click on an empty piece of land.

- 9. Click on the Texture tab, and click on the texture
window.
Click on libraries, then textures to open that list.
Click on Misc textures, select Gray Metal Scratched and click OK.
Editing the texture - 10. Adjusting the object.
Click on the Object tab.
Type in the values for Size, Path Cut, Taper and Top Shear to the values shown above. - 11. Note: The Hemicylinder should look like the picture
above.
- 12. Naming the object.
Click on the Cylinder that was made and click on the General tab.
Rename the Cylinder from Object to Fan center. - 13. Naming the object.
Click on the Hemi cylinder that was made and click on the General tab.
Rename the Hemi cylinder from Object to Fan. - 14. Selecting a prim.
Click on the Create icon that is selected in green above.
Choose the Torus and click on an empty piece of land. - 15. Editing the texture
- 16. Click on the Texture tab, and click on the texture
window.
Click on libraries, then textures to open that list.
Click on Misc textures, select Gray Metal Scratched and click OK.
Editing the texture - 17. Adjusting the object.
Click on the Object tab.
Type in the values for Size and Hole Size to the values shown above. - 18. Click on the Torus that was made and click on the General
tab.
Rename the Torus from Object to Fan Center 2.
Naming the object. - 19. Note: Fan Center 2 should look like the picture
above.
- 20. Place Fan Center 2 in the center above Fan
Center.
- 21. Creating the fan.
Click on the Fan piece and then hold down the Shift button.
Drag the mouse over to make a copy of the Fan.
Repeat step three times. - 22. Take one of the Fan pieces and place it to the left of Fan
Center 2.
- 23. Click on another Fan piece and change the Rotation to the
values above.Place the Fan piece to the right of Fan Center 2 so
that it looks like the picture above.
- 24. Click on another Fan piece and change the Rotation to the
values above.Place the Fan piece on the top side of Fan Center 2 so
that it looks like the picture above.
- 25. Click on another Fan piece and change the Rotation to the
values above.Place the Fan piece on the bottom side of Fan Center 2
so that it looks like the picture above.
- 26. Hold the Shift button down and click on Fan center 2 and
each of the Fan pieces.Let go of the Shift button and click on the
link button.Note: Fan Center 2 and its fan blades should now be
linked.
- 27. Click on the Content tab.Click on New Script.
- 28. Type in the Spin Script show above.Tip: this script can
also be found in our Scripting in SL section of the
webpage
- 29. Click the Running box so that there is a check.Click on the
Mono box so that there is a check.Click Save and close the Script
window.
- 30. Hold down the Shift button and click on the Fan center and
the Fan center 2 above it. The Fan center and Fan center 2 should
now be linked together and look like the picture above.
