Savanna Private Game Reserve is located in the Western sector of the internationally

famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Savanna is a 5 star lodge with only nine suites. They pride

themselves on delivering exceptional safaris, with a maximum of 6 guests per vehicle, the

emphasis is on game viewing. They promise to deliver exceptional levels of personal service

and great attention to detail.

Savanna has nine beautifully appointed suites. The thatched Savanna Suite consists of two separate

en-suite bedrooms, each with their own deck and plunge pools. These rooms lead into a central

elegantly furnished lounge, ideal for families or a small group wanting privacy and exclusivity.

Seven of the nine suites offer a unique blend of “Out of Africa” romance with the convenience

of every modern facility. They have Bedouin-styled draped ceilings below tented roofs, set on

permanent structures for privacy, security and comfort.

All suites have air-conditioning, fans, en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, mini

bars and tea & coffee making stations and covered patios. Each suite boasts a patio, wooden

deck and private plunge pool.

WHAT TO DO AT SAVANNA Twice-daily game drives in custom designed vehicles, seating no more than 6 guests with expert

guides and Shangaan trackers. Guided bush walks and birdwatching. Embark on a Local Community

interaction, or a Village tour. Read a book, book a relaxing massage, work out in the gym or simply

relax and do nothing at all.

DINING AT SAVANNA Gourmet dining is an essential part of the Savanna experience with traditional local dishes adding spice

to the best international fare. Dynamic menus are complemented with award winning wines from our

well stocked cellar. We delight guests with surprise dining set ups. Our chefs can take care of most

dietary requirements.




WEATHER

Summer months (November to March) are hot and humid and we do enjoy summer rains, but

generally in the way of afternoon thundershowers. The temperature starts to cool in April and the

winter months (May to June) are warm during the day with cold nights. July to September is very dry,

with cold temperatures during the night, early mornings and early evenings. Our spring (September to

October) is very dry, with hot winds. Game viewing is excellent all year around.

GETTING TO SAVANNA Our closest landing strip is the Ulusaba airstrip which is used by lodges in the Western sector; we

offer a complimentary transfer service from this airstrip to the lodge. Airlink fly into the Ulusaba airstrip (ULX), as well as Kruger Mpumalanga Airport (KMIA) and Skukuza

(SKZ), from various domestic and regional destinations. Should you fly into either KMIA or SKZ, you

would still need to self-drive or book a road transfer to get to the lodge.

Federal Air also has daily scheduled flights to and from Johannesburg into this airstrip.
