Holiday Events

Santa’s Brunch

December 5th 11:00 a.m. - 1:00p.m.

The PFSC family will enjoy pictures

with Santa, crafts and a delicious

breakfast. Don’t Forget to mark your

calendars if you have registered.

Gifts of Providence

During the holiday season we are blessed to

receive gifts from various donors to assist

enrolled families who are active and need

assistance at Christmas.

*This event is invitation only for enrolled

and active families.

If you are in need of assistance and have not re-

ceived and invitation by Dec 9th, please call Tish

at 412-766-6730 for more information.

December 14th , 15th and 16th

*All families welcome to Providence Family Events

Our Center will be CLOSED for

holiday break from Wednesday

December 23rd through Friday

January 1st 2015. The center will

reopen for normal business hours

on Monday January 4th, 2016.

School Age Program

Center Closed 12/23/15 through 1/1/15:

Our Center will be closed for the Christmas

holiday on Wednesday December 23, 2015

through Friday January 1, 2016. School age

care will resume on Monday January 4, 2016.

Venture Outdoors Field Trips: Venture

Outdoors will be taking our After School

youth on field trips on Wednesday December

2, 2015 & Wednesday December 16, 2015.

The trips will take place from 3:45 – 5:00 p.m.

Outside Clothing - Please remember to send

your child in with weather appropriate cloth-

ing each day. Now that the weather is getting

colder the children should have gloves, mit-

tens, hats and coats to stay warm. The chil-

dren go outside every day unless it is raining

or below 25 degrees.

Severe Weather Delays and Closures- If

the roads become unsafe for travel due to

snow or ice our center may call a delay or

closure of the center. This information will be

listed both online and on television on WPXI.

The listing will read Providence Family Sup-

port Center-Childcare. All closures and de-

lays will be listed by 6:00a.m. If you would

like to sign up for email or text message

alerts please visit www.wpxi.com and search

‘school closing alert’.

Magnet Registration: If you have a

child that will be entering Kindergarten

in the fall of 2016 you may be interested

in learning more about the PPS Magnet

application. The deadline for Magnet ap-

plications is December 11th, 2015. Any

applications received after 12/11 will not

be considered in the magnet lottery.

Ice Skating - Enjoy a evening skating downtown at PPG place.

Holiday Movies - Pick up a favorite holiday movie, fun snacks and enjoy spend-

ing time with your family.

Gratitude– Allow each family member to have a turn expressing their gratitude

this holiday season.

Something NEW - As a family look into other winter holidays and learn some-

thing new. Maybe you and your family will start a new tradition.

Gag gift tradition - Give a funny gift to a family member. Each year, pass the gift

on to another unsuspecting family member.
