Obituary* __ ___ ____ Death of J. A. Williams James A. Williams, who for the past fiveyears had been making his home in Rock Hill, died at his home inthat city on Saturday last following an illness of about a year, andhis remains were brought to Westville Sunday afternoon for burialin the cemetery at Bethany church of which he was a member for anumber of years.

Mr. Williams, who passed his sixty-fourth year June 12, was bornand reared in Kershaw county near the town of Kershaw andresided in this vicinity until a few years ago. He was reared byMrs. Ann Thorn, of the Hanging Rock community, now in herninetieth year, who visited him recently at Rock Hill, and was ableto attend his funeral also. She took charge of him when he was anorphan of tender years.

The funeral services were conducted in Bethany Baptist church,the following ministers taking part in the services: Rev. W. J.Sprinkle, pastor of the Northside Baptist church, Rock Hill whoaccompanied the remains; Rev. A. E. Fulner, a former pastor ofMr. Williams; Rev. P. E. Blackmon pastor of Bethany church, andRev. J. M. Neal, of Kershaw. The remains were laid to rest withthe ceremonies of the Woodmen of the World, of which order Mr.Williams was a member, in the presence of a large number ofrelatives and friends, a number of whom accompanied the familyfrom Rock Hill.

Mr. Williams is survived by his widow, four sons, four daughtersand an adopted daughter--Kershaw Era.(Camden Chronicle, Camden, S.C. Aug. 5, 1927).

He was married to Miss Myrtle Mae Denton of Camden in 1908.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Monday afternoon from theBethany Baptist Church in Kershaw County, of which he was amember.Interment will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Williams; two daughters,

Obituary* __ ___ ____ Paul Truesdale Williams, 73, died early this morning at his homeafter a ½long illness.

He was retiredfrom the CSX railroad after 35 years of service as afreight agent and administrative assistant and had served onseveralWaycross/Ware County Chamber of Commercecommittees.

He was a member of the YMCA board of directors for several yearsand headed the capital funds campaign when the Family YMCAwas built. He also served as President of the YMCA IndustrialManagement Club and chairman of the YMCA Industry DayCommittee.

He was a past president of the Waycross Lions Club and a formermember of the Waycross Elks Lodge.His church membership wasat Bethel Methodist in Rock Hill, S.C.

½A native of Heath Springs, S.C., he was the son of the lateJamesA. and Azilee Truesdale Williams.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Rush Williams, Waycross;twosons, James Paul Williams, Norcross, and Walter HerbertWilliams, Thomasville; three daughters, Judith Nation, Waycross,Sandra Turner, Jacksonville, Fla., and Jeannie Johnson, Titusville,Fla.; three sisters, Myrtle Clanton, Blanche Brown, and CarrieCarter, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mincy-Fulford Chapel,followed by burial at Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeralhome.
