FAMILY.BUSINESS.POTENTIAL.

Listed consistently over the past decade as one of the South’s leading universities by U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review, Stetson University’s School of Business Administration has been named among the nation’s top business schools.

Real World BenefitsAs a Family Business graduate, you need to stand out. It’s not just about good grades. Mentorships, internships and active learning help prepare you to expand the family business and create something completely new. Today’s the time to plan for your success. Meet the faculty scholars including professional lawyers, certified accountants, estate planners and tax experts at Stetson’s innovative School of Business Administration. believe in the phrase “Life is what you make of it,” and Stetson University is a place that gave me the opportunity to do just that. The faculty have always treated me as someone with intellect who has great potential. I’ve had every opportunity to not just succeed, but to be someone of real significance at Stetson.

From my first day as a Family Enterprise major, I knew that I was part of something very special - my very first course was taught by a retired CEO of a multi-million dollar corporation. I’ve attended luncheons with business-world leaders and executives, taken part in a mentorship program where I was matched with a working professional (mine was a Certified Financial Planner), and I’ve had the opportunity to interview and intern with remarkable companies.

As a sophomore, I was on a panel in front of hundreds of attendees at the 2011 Family Business Transitions Conference in Orlando. I found myself on stage with my Stetson classmates taking questions about the next generation, or “Gen Y” as we’re referred to, and our role in family businesses. I found myself not only able to handle the questions, but I felt I was part of a significant conversation with business professionals. That was an experience I’ll never forget.

My parents own a general contracting firm in Central Florida and I have worked, in one way or another, in the firm my whole life. I am currently on course to pursue law school after graduation. I intend to specialize in Family Law and Estate Planning, a great complement to my undergraduate studies. Thanks to my professors and my solid education, I couldn’t be more excited about my future.
