We meet the needs of the national and international market with more than 2000 standard products and their multiple variables.

QUALITY IS OUR PRIORITY

An important part of our business policy is based on establishing an effective and efficient Quality Progam that is built into all of our business’ processes and departments.

The integrated Famatel Quality Management System is based on the requirements of UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008, as well as other applicable national and international standards. Compliance is headed up by our Senior Management, and is part of the whole organization’s commitment.

We guarantee compliance with national and international standards for all products manufactured by Famatel. Our R&D&I department uses it’s many internal labs, collaborating with certifying agencies, to guarantee all necessary trials are carried out to vouch for the quality of our products and compliance with the current standards.

Custom Build

Famatel UK holds a full range of BS4343 / IEC 309 electrical distribution products from 16 amp to 125 amp, single and three phase, plugs and sockets, switched interlocks, RCD protected sockets, appliance inlets, surface sockets and much more.

Custom made distribution systems made to orderOur products are made in the EU by Famatel Spain and distributed by Famatel UK offering peace of mind with a fully certified product.

Famatel also manufacture a wide range of enclosures from IP20 to IP67 along with the new GRP range that is ex stock in the UK for next day delivery.

We have the ability to integrate our distribution products together to offer our customers a custom build solution to meet customers’ specific requirements.

Caravan pitch socket outletsThe requirements for socket outlets have been redrafted to prevent the socket contact being live when accessible. Regulation 708.55.1.1 requires that every socket-outlet or connector shall either comply with:

6. a) BS EN 60309-2 and shall be interlocked and classified to clause 6.1.5 of BS EN 60309-1:1999 to prevent the socket contacts being live when accessible; or

7. b) - be part of an interlocked self-contained product complying with BS EN 60309-4 and classified to clauses 6,1,101 and 6.1.102 of BS EN60309-4:2006 to prevent the socket contact being live when accessible.

The current rating is not to be less than 16A but may be greater if required. At least one socket-outlet should be provided for each caravan pitch. Where socket outlets are grouped in pitch supply equipment, there should be one socket-outlet for each pitch limited to a group of four.

IsolationRegulation 708.537.2.1.1 now requires at least one means of isolation to be installed in each distribution enclosure. This device should disconnect at all live conductors.

Overcurrect ProtectionEvery socket-outlet shall be individually protected by an over current protective device, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 43.

A fixed connection for a supply to a mobile home or residential park home shall be individually protected by an over current protective device, in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 43.

RCD ProtectionEach socket-outlet must be protected individually by an RCD having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA. The RCD must disconnect all live conductors including the neutral.

Requirements for RCD protection have been extended to cover supplies to residential park homes. A final circuit (from the metering point) intended for the fixed connection for a supply to a mobile home or residential park home shall be individually protected by an RCD having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA accessible to the consumer. Devices shall disconnect all live conductors.
