Schmidt Commits to National Championship Runner Up Matt Schmidt a current goalie at Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana, recently verbally committed to play at University of Notre Dame. Schmidt considered multiple top tier Division 1 programs, including Cornell, Harvard, Yale and Ohio State, but could not resist when something felt right about Notre Dame. “I want to be surrounded by players who will do anything for each other. They are grinders and hard workers that work for everything they achieve,” said Schmidt.

Not only will Schmidt have to work hard on the field, but also in the classroom to maintain high academics. “I was not going to attend any schools that did not meet my academic standards.” With Notre Dame being in the Top 20 for academics, Schmidt decided that he had found the perfect match. “It was important for me to go to a school that had the whole package, not just a good lacrosse team.”

Schmidt is grateful for the well-rounded experience that Resolute has given him. “Without Resolute, I can truthfully say that I would not be where I am today. Facilities, coaches, knowledge of the game and recruiting process all put together in an experience that can truly mold anyone into a top tier player.”

Hughes Proud of his Resolute Roots

Griffin Hughes a current sophomore midfielder has recently verbally committed to play lacrosse at The Ohio State University. “I really connected and felt comfortable with Coach Myers as well as appreciate the academic reputation of OSU,” said Griffin Hughes. He also liked that he had the opportunity to play in his home state.

“There are 3 things that Resolute has provided me that I am beyond grateful for: Coaching, Exposure and Recruiting. Coach Lee worked tirelessly talking with various programs and giving me advice through the entire process.”

“I cannot thank my family enough for all the support and opportunities they’ve given me. I also would like to thank Coach Matt Lee and the Resolute program, for which I would not be at the level I am today.

I am extremely proud to be part of the Resolute family.”

Musci Commits to Family Alma Mater Nick Musci, a current attack at St. Francis DeSales, has just verbally committed to play lacrosse at The Ohio State University. “Ohio State had everything that I wanted in a college, both in athletics and academics,” said Musci. Able to enjoy one last year with Resolute, Musci plans to make the most of it. “I can firmly say I would not be where I am today without the coaching and resources offered to me through Resolute Lacrosse.” He has created lasting friendships over the years. “I wouldn’t trade my teammates for anything. It’s an honor and a privilege to play and compete with some of the greatest guys around.”

Viera Commits to Childhood Dream

Michael Viera, a senior at Worthington Kilbourne High School, always envisioned himself attending The Ohio State University as a child. “Their athletics are unlike any other school in the country,” said Viera.

Viera enjoyed lacrosse as an after school sport during high school but didn’t truly love it until joining the Resolute Lacrosse program. “They showed me that I was capable of being a top high school player, and even a Division 1 player. They helped me develop as a player, but most importantly they led me to grow to love lacrosse.”

He will finish out his final year at Kilbourne and move on to Ohio State in August. “Resolute has been the biggest factor in my recruiting process. It not only gave me the training from coaches like Greg Bice and Matt Lee, who allowed me to be the player I am today, but also the confidence to consider playing at the next level.”

Gouhin commits to Ohio Wesleyan

Drew Gouhin, a senior at Olentangy Liberty High School, will be attending Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio to continue his lacrosse career. Gouhin found the perfect small school where he felt he could excel not only in the classroom but also on the field. “Their coaching staff is compiled of class act individuals who truly care and will stop at nothing to make you a successful student athlete,” said Gouhin.

While Gouhin is excited to be moving on to the college level, he is truly grateful for his Resolute coaches. “Not only do these coaches passionately teach the game and help you through the recruitment process, but they also teach you life lessons through lacrosse. It’s truly a complete program that I can honestly say has made me a better athlete and more importantly a better person.”

Carter Kistler is a senior faceoff specialist who has recently signed to continue his lacrosse career at The Ohio State University.

“I started talking to coaches a bit late in my high school career, so I did not get many Division 1 looks, but thanks to the help of the Resolute staff, I started talking to the OSU coaches after the OSU winter prospect day,” said Kistler.

Kistler is thrilled to join The Ohio State University lacrosse program with the help of the Resolute coaches.

“The Resolute coaches are the best coaches you will find anywhere. While they help us become better lacrosse players, they work even harder to develop us as better people and put us in the best possible situations to succeed. This doesn’t mean that teams play down, they only play us against the best competition.”

Chickerella’s excited for warm weather

Sam Chickerella, a senior at Olentangy Liberty High School has signed to attend the University of Tampa next fall.

“I chose the University of Tampa because it was the perfect fit for me, it’s in a great location, perfect campus size for me and the team really excels in their division,” said Chickerella.

Chickerella is thankful for the Resolute coaches and players for helping him get to where he is going. “Resolute is a great program to help you get recruited into the right college for you. Resolute has helped me in numerous ways, not only by improving my skills and lacrosse IQ on the field but by making me an overall better person off the field.”

Chickerella could only end his recruitment process with one phrase, and we couldn’t have agreed more.

“Resolute family for life!”

Only One School Standing for Bedle Kevin Bedle, a current senior midfielder has recently signed to play lacrosse at The College of Wooster. Bedle had very specific criteria that he expected to find in his perfect match.

“I was looking for a small liberal arts school with respected academic programs. I was looking for a Pre-Architecture program, in Ohio, with a solid varsity lacrosse program.”

The hunt for his perfect school was easy and resulted in The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.

‘I didn’t consider any other colleges for lacrosse because I was looking for very specific details in a university and Wooster was everything that I wanted.”

Where are they now?

Shawn Ewert, Resolute 2014, Jacksonville University

Shawn Ewert, a Resolute Lacrosse and Dublin Jerome Alumnus, is enjoying his first semester of college at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. Ewert chose Jacksonville for a number of reasons, including academics, location, and Coach Guy Van Arsdale.

“I can provide one piece of advice that can put you at the top of any coach’s list, get good grades. By doing this, you immediately separate yourself from all the other players with similar abilities and skill sets.”

Ewert is enjoying fall ball and his fall workouts at Jacksonville, while feeling grateful for how prepared he is from Resolute. “I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me throughout my lacrosse career. Their coaching staff is truly second to none. I try to incorporate their motto into everything I do, Never Stop. Never Quit. Be Resolute.”

Chase Rose, Resolute 2014, Robert Morris University

Chase Rose, a Resolute Lacrosse and Dublin Jerome Alumnus, is now a freshman at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. “There are a lot of goalies out there and not that many goalie positions. This meant to get recruited I needed to play for the right summer lacrosse team, one with the right coaches with the right values playing in the right tournaments for the right reasons. Of course this meant Resolute.”

Rose considered many different variables when deciding how the right school for him: location size, division. He wanted to make sure he found a school that he would still love even if he weren’t playing lacrosse. “The Resolute coaches made us players realize that it doesn’t matter what ‘division’ we ended up playing for, just that it was the right fit for us,” and that is what Robert Morris was.

Rose would like to thank his parents for all of their support, and Resolute coaches for their advice, guidance and most importantly always believing in him and what he could accomplish.

Michael Turnbull, Resolute 2014, University of Detroit Mercy

Michael Turnbull, a Resolute Lacrosse and Worthington Kilbourne Alumnus, is a now a freshman at University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. “One of the biggest reasons why Detroit was the best fit for me was the great engineering program the school had and the close ties it had with many of the auto companies in Detroit,” said Turnbull.

As Turnbull looks forward to the spring season he wants to thanks his parents and the Resolute coaches. “They helped me pick a school that fit both my academic and lacrosse needs.”

“I wouldn’t be where I am today without

the support and help from my family and

Resolute.” - Ewert
