Individual Treatment Services The goal of our ABA treatment program is to provide eective, ethical, and evidence-based therapy using the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA). • A behavior consultant will directly provide individualized treatment, program supervision, and parent

coaching.

• When therapy occurs at the clinic, your child will benet from our various treatment rooms (e.g., class room, motor room, toytown, playground, etc.) with the goal of generalization across environments.

ABA Treatment

Comprehensive ABA Treatment Our comprehensive ABA program will include using the science of behavior analysis to teach skills across a variety of areas.

Some skill areas may include social communication, social interactions, nonverbal communication, exibility, play skills, safety skills, and skills for independence.

Treatment hours vary based on your behavior consultant’s comprehensive assessment, corresponding treatment recommendations, and a determination of the treatment schedule that will best meet the needs of your family.

Focused ABA Treatment Our focused ABA treatment will consist of using the science of behavior analysis to teach skills across a limited number of areas.

For example, focused ABA treatment may aim to decrease problematic behaviors while simultaneously strengthening your child’s ability to emit more appropriate and functional behaviors.

Some behavior change targets may also include establishing compliance and independence with self-care skills, daily living skills, and safety skills.

Treatment hours and location vary based on your behavior consultant’s comprehensive assessment, corresponding treatment recommendations, and a determination of the treatment schedule that will best meet the needs of your family.

Feeding SupportDo you have concerns regarding your child’s feeding? Does your child have a limited repertoire of foods they consume? Does your child exhibit problematic behaviors during mealtime? Then our feeding program is for your child!

Evidence-based assessments and techniques will be implemented by a behavior consultant and certied speech language pathologist to decrease any problematic mealtime behaviors, support the expansion of your child’s food repertoire, as well as assess oral motor function to promote safer chewing and swallowing habits.

Food sensitivities will be supported and goals will be focused on introducing, exploring, and consuming novel food items.

Parent/caregiver participation is required to learn strategies to carry over into the home to support achievement.

Problematic Behavior SupportOur behavior consultants at KGH are able to provide a comprehensive and individualized assessment and treatment program to address a variety of behavior diculties for all ages.

We can assess and treat behaviors such as problems around eating, sleeping, non-compliance, aggression, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, talking-back, yelling/arguing, etc. Your behavior consultant will use ethical, eective, and evidence-based assessment methods to develop an individualized and function-based behavior treatment plan.

Treatment will then focus on using the principles of ABA to decrease and eliminate challenging behavior and increase or teach positive, appropriate, and functional replacement behaviors.

Your behavior consultant will also provide support and parent coaching to ensure that treatment gains maintain and transfer to the family and natural environment.
