Pablo Picasso: A Primitive Soul a documentary
Tuesday, November 7
1:00pm to 3:00pm In conjunction with the Visual Arts Center’s Fine Arts Festival 2017: Inspired by Picasso, the Herald Court Centre is showing the movie, A Primitive Soul. Dedo Cristina will be at the Herald Court Centre with examples of his Picasso inspired art. Pablo Picasso left a legacy that places him among the most important artists of all time. Follow Picasso from his childhood in Spain and through the many phases of this 70-year artistic career. Painter David Hockney explores the significance of Picasso, while Francoise Gilot recalls her tempestuous time as his muse. Picasso’s daughter, Maya, speculates that the artist took what he could from each woman he was involved with and transformed it into art.

Get an overview of amateur radio activities, equipment, and licensing. Wi-fi, cellular and VoIP (internet) phones
often do not work after natural disasters and major electrical power outages. Amateur radio operators or “hams” can
communicate when others cannot, so amateur radio operators often assist local emergency authorities. “Ham” radio
is also enjoyed by non-technical as well as technical people to communicate with other amateur radio operators around

This is a beginner’s course. Spanish is a challenging and exciting experience! The aim of this course is to introduce
the student to the Spanish language as it is spoken and heard. The emphasis will be on the spoken language, which

wherein they are challenged to speak Spanish with the proper pronunciation and intonation. Correct grammar is

aperture, and shutter speed, and how they work together to create an image. This class will also go over other

Karen Ann Gallagher has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Education from Western Maryland College. She worked for McCormick & Company (Spice Company). Lionel Lewis is a local artist and a member of the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County.
