News from the Vineyard Harvest is well underway at Laleure, with the Vignoles, Bianca fermented and in tanks. The Pinot Noir is being fer-mented, but the Chardonnay, Riesling, Chambourcin, and Cabernet franc still hanging nicely in the field. Fruit quality is excellent thanks to the warm and especially rain-free weather. If you’d like to have some outdoor fun, come on out to pick grapes, just send us an email!

Laleure Vineyards started growing grapes in Parkman, Ohio in 1997. Laleure is a small boutique winery dedicated to pro-ducing high quality wines made primarily from vinifera grapes grown on the property. The varietals offered include Char-donnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet franc Riesling, Vignoles, Chambourcin, and Bianca.

Special Evening: Friday September 29 will be a special singer songwriter night at Laleure, featuring some of the areas most talented artists. Steve Madewell will host the evening with his wonderful lyrics and beautiful guitar picking, along with several others described by Steve: “Mark Freeman is a wonderful song writer who tells a great story with a unique voice and guitar style. Charlie Mosbrook has been a pillar in the NEO folk music scene with well crafted lyrics and precise guitar playing.” This will be Charlie’s debut at Laleure, and a return after several years for Mark. Having all three of these artists in one place on the same evening will be a very special occasion. Please join us if you like excellent guitar playing, wonderful voices and all original lyrics.
