It’s that time of the year again when we wonder where the summer has gone? Changing seasons always inspires us with new designs and fabrics! At the store, our visions have created some new gorgeous samples for the upcoming months. We’d love for you to come in and see all of the new projects!

Our calendar is overflowing with new plans to keep you improving your skills and expanding your creativity, all while having a great time meeting new friends! Many years ago when the store opened, I signed up for classes and clubs at Country Traditions. I met and developed lifelong friendships with quilters who share the same interests. You could do that too!

Class has been creative and fun the past few months! The Tuffet, that everyone is raving about, makes a great conversation piece for your home. We have all the power tools and supplies assembled for you that will make it easy for you to finish your colorful Tuffet right here in class! We will show you a great technique to make standing triangular Christmas Trees that will have your guests fascinated with how you constructed them. They will also be amazed by the textured three dimensional 3D Wreath wall hanging, with it’s fun flaps of fabric. We also have made some beautiful Christmas Placemats that look like antique ornaments.

Make plans to sign up for the Fat Quarter Frenzy Retreat to be held September 23rd & 24th. You will receive six free quilt patterns. You can make these or bring your own projects to work on. You will want to bring your quilting friends. We have a great time when we retreat! In October, we have Vicki Hoth scheduled for our annual Long Arm Retreat. Sign up early for this popular teacher, who has a wealth of knowledge and years of experience.

Take your domestic machine quilting to the next level with Scott’s two classes, Machine Quilting Basics and Machine Quilting with Rulers. Learn to stack, cut, shuffle and sew with the fun Pumpkin Patch and Trees Up, Lights On classes. A fun project, the Mondo bag is a great easy tote that is fused first before sewing seams, saving lots of construction time.

Try some angle tools and make the popular Spicy Spiral table runner, or the Tankini runner which comes in three sizes. Get out your Tri-Recs tool to work on the gorgeous Songbird Christmas Star quilt. The Sweet Tooth quilt attracts a lot of attention, and can be made easily with the Hex-n-More and Super Sidekick rulers. Incorporate your favorite panel into an attractive Love Those Panels quilt using the Strip Tube ruler.

We have a great new product in the store by Triangles on a Roll, called Tri Angle paper. It is an easy way to make an intricate looking border. We used it in Spiky Chillingsworth. Learn easy foundation piecing with our many Stitch by Number patterns. You could make a fabulous fall Twister Jack with the twister tool! Yes, we can help you, and keep you sewing on new fun ideas!

Twister JackA Jack-o-Lantern with a pinwheel twist is a fun project to decorate for fall. The wall hanging size will be determined by which size pinwheel tool you choose.

Country Traditions Class Policies: Reservations are required for all classes, clubs & events. PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION TO HOLD YOUR PLACE IN CLASS. Complete class supply lists will be given when you register for the class. Classes require three or more students for the class to be held. If the class is canceled by Country Traditions due to low enrollment, your class fee will be refunded. If the class is postponed due to weather the class will be rescheduled. So that we may commit to our teachers, sorry, there is NO refund if you cancel. Please check class dates and your own calendar carefully before registering. If an emergency occurs, you can send a friend in your place. A sewing machine is required for most classes, you are welcome to reserve our Classroom Models, please arrive early for class so we can review how it works with you. Due to copyright laws, if the class requires a pattern or book, each student is required to purchase one. Samples of class projects are on display at the store. Students are encouraged to purchase their class project supplies from Country Traditions.
