TEXTURED HAIR WITH EMBELLISHMENTS
WHERE TO WEAR THE LOOK:
WHERE TO BOOK:
Fall 2014 is all about textured hair with movement, and to top it off, we will be seeing lots of embellishments-anything from rhinestones to metal details!
If you want a professional to create this look for you, give Dosha Salon Spa a call. Our stylists will walk you through each step - from the trial run all the way until the big day, Dosha Salon Spa will create a trendy look that is personalized to you.
This trendy, texturized look is perfect for a big day! At Dosha, we know every bride wants to feel like she is rocking her very own runway when she walks down the aisle, and there is no better way to make a statement than with voluminous textured hair! Adding embellishments will pull the look together, giving it a personal touch and add a hint of glamour!
THE TREND: HOW TO CREATE THE LOOK:
Step 1: Wet hair and spray thoroughly
with Aveda Pure Abundance Style
Prep and Volumizing Tonic.
Step 2: Blow dry upside down or with
a round brush to maximize volume.
Step 3: Section hair and begin curing
hair with 1 ½” inch curling iron. Set
each curl by spraying with Aveda Air
Control Hair Spray.
Step 4: Finger comb or paddle brush
through curls once they have cooled.
Step 5: Back comb at root or scalp to
shape and texturize.
Step 6: begin to pin sections of hair
where you want your focus to be.
Step 7: When complete, position
embellishment and set with Aveda
Control Force Hair Spray for an all
day long lasting hold.
Call 503-228-8280 to book your appointment today, or online at dosha.org
PRO TIPS:• For a longer lasting curl: pin each curl against
the head and let fully cool before releasing.
• Embellishments will stick in the hair best when built on a metal base.
• Focus on pulling all the hair up off the neck and toward the front of the head, as this is the
angel most of your photos will be taken.

act one | eco couture: fashion taking action
Eco fashion is a thriving design philosophy that takes pride in creating apparel in a way that protects our environ-ment and promotes social responsibility. Portland is proud to be an eco-focused city with a fashion community that has been collectively working towards sustainable practices.
This year, in conjunction with Portland Fashion Week, The Art Institute created an Eco-Couture Denim Contest. 16 designers were challenged to use up-cycled denim garments to create runway looks. The winning designer will receive a $500 cash prize.
Sue Bonde, The Art Institute of Portland’s Fashion Show Director, says “Our goal is to spark creativity and a sustainable conversation; to ask the larger question: Fashion at what cost? Designers need to take action; to make ‘Statement Pieces’ that are fashionable yet still say some-thing about ethical practices. Dare to disrupt! Dare to innovate!”
