As a student registered with the ODS your back to school checklist may be a bit different than some of your peers. This is an important time for you to follow up on some ODS “housekeeping”!

ü Make sure your accommodation(s) are in place. You may have progressed in your program and are getting nervous about a specific class. Now is a good time to update your accommodation(s) if it is necessary or at least talk to someone in the ODS about your anxiety to see if we have any pointers.

ü Contact all of your instructors to discuss and make sure you both have a clear understanding of your accommodation(s). You want to make sure you both have the same expectations of how your accommodation(s) will play out in class.

ü If you have a testing accommodation, check your syllabus and start taking steps to

make sure those accommodations are in place. Discuss with your instructor how the testing arrangements will be made.

ü Plan next semester’s classes. While this might be the farthest thing from your mind, you need to make sure you are on track with your courses. If you need any assistance, contact Christyn in the ODS to make an appointment with the Academic Advising department at [email protected] or 302-356-6937.

If you have any questions or need any assistance, please reach out to the ODS. We are here to support you and want to see you be SUCCESSFUL!
