ARTS Ukelele Club Ages 8-11 If you have ever wanted to learn to play the Ukelele (uke), then this class is for you! No prior musical experience is necessary. Each week, you will learn to strum basic chords common in many songs. Topics covered will also include: holding the uke, tuning the uke, left and right hand posi- tions, and basic pick and finger-style techniques. Ukeleles will be available to rent or buy through the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts (RMCMA). Michael Quam plays acoustic and electric guitar, ukelele, and he is a recording engineer. He received his masters degree in music from Florida State University in guitar performance. Michael has been teaching since 1994 and is a solo and chamber musician. His recordings include numerous local performing groups. Bricks 4 Kidz camps offer a high-energy, fast-paced setting wherekids discover, explore, invent, and create. Throughout each class,Bricks 4 Kidz instructors provide the raw materials to spark stu-dents’ imaginations using LEGO® bricks, model plans, games,

LEGO® video games, robotics, and stop-motions animation. Kidsbuild machines, buildings, vehicles, and other structures in a lab-

type setting. Instructional content is multi-disciplinary and designedby educators to increase students’ general knowledge and under-

standing of S.T.E.M. concepts (science, technology, engineering, andmath). While exploring principles of architecture, physics, and

more, students will develop problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Bricks 4 Kidz: LEGO® Structures Ages 7-11Kids, come and build machines, buildings, vehicles, and otherstructures out of LEGO® bricks, using one-of-a-kind modelplans designed by Bricks 4 Kidz.
