Volunteer Opportunity Wisconsin Interstate Park is looking for Volunteers/Volunteer Groups to either fill in at our Visitor Center front desk, or to help with sweeping cobwebs from buildings/washing windows/etc. This would be open to anyone over the age of 16 and would be a nice addition to a resume, would earn work references, and could help high schoolers earn their community service hours. Not to mention, it would give people a chance to better acquaint themselves with the park in their back- yard. Volunteer of the Month Larry Wojchik will be honored as volunteer of the month for June at the Sunday 10:30 Mass on June 17th. Larry has volunteered many hours of his time to the parish so we will be honoring him for all that he has done and continues to do for St. Joseph. Thank you Larry!

Let’s Play Ball! Our parish is participating in the summer church co-ed softball league again this year. Games are held Sunday evenings at Jorgenson Field in Amery. This Sunday the game is at 6:45 pm. If you have ques-tions call Rick Dado 715-491-1390 or Eric Wojchik 715-222-4154.

Lectors Have you ever considered being a Lector at Mass? Lectors contribute to the blessedness of our worship. As you proclaim The Word at weekend or special liturgies, your participation adds to the sacredness of your experience in our Mass. Training and support are provided with mentors available, as needed. Catholic

Services Appeal Each year the Diocese of Superior has a Catholic Ser-vices Appeal. All parishes are required to support the appeal. This year our as-sessment @ SJ is $31,490. So far we have raised $24,706 leaving a balance of $6,784. OLL has an assess-ment of $29,658. So far we have raised $24,205, leaving a balance of $5,453.

Ordination

Mass Everyone is invited to the Cathedral of Christ the King, Superior WI on Sun-day, June 24th at 4 pm to celebrate the Ordination of Deacon Richard E. Rhinehart to the Priest-hood. Food will be served in Kress Hall following the liturgy Show support for Deacon Richard and vo-cations by attending this joyful occasion.

Discussions will be about upcoming projects and are looking for sugges-tions on how to make our parishes better. Amy Geisler of the Superior Diocesan Board on the Seven Sisters Apostolate ministry will be presenting. All woman from both parishes are invited and encouraged to attend!
