Dear Rockets Families, As we continue in Lent together as a family of brothers and sisters in Christ, we remember we need a Savior, and thanks be to God, that Jesus came to be with us, lived, died, and rose, so that we might be called children of God! Each day, as you spend time in God’s Word and in your devotions with your family, may the Holy Spirit move deeply in your heart as we grow in understanding and awe of God’s Son, our Precious Gift. This week, has been filled with so many little special blessings, too, from our girls’ basketball team off to All-Ohio, the state tournament, to the Lutheran West Band Festival performance with our advanced band students, to many lessons, units, Bible verses, and more, studied and mastered! Next week ends our third quarter already, so as a reminder, you can always check your grades for 1-8 online, and we look forward to our awards Chapel on March 25th and our Early Ed Conferences, as needed, too. God’s continued blessings on your week ahead!

March 2020 EDITION Vol. 1

Faith First Chapel- led by our guest, Mr. Lehrke at 9:10 this Wednesday. Our March offerings supporting our RRLC mission trips, one of which is off to the Dominican Republic right now, helping to build a greatly needed medical facility and provide Vacation Bible School to children there. God bless them! Our Fruit of the Spirit this month is Faithfulness for March with Psalm 117:2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Amen.

Open House

RRLS is thrilled to see such a great start to Registration this school year, with many classes filling. Our next Open House, on March 11th from 9-2pm. Invite a friend and see you there!

Grandparents Days are coming! K-8 Sign Up Genius Links will be sent out today for helping in grades K-8, with brining a few small items to help. Thank you to everyone for your help! Our special day comes up March 16th for K-8 and the 17th & 18th for Preschoolers (please check #2). We cannot wait to welcome our special guests for Worship, classroom activities, photo opportunities, and making many memories!

Festival of Bands

Students worked hard in dress rehearsals

and represented RRLS very well as they

shined to perform Amazing Grace and

many other numbers.

Prayer Corner: Prayer Corner- Don’t forget, the parent prayer

group that meets each week is on Friday mornings

at RRLS right after drop-off. You are always

welcome!

This week we pray over all the students and

families in Mrs. Gembala’s third grade class!

We also lift up all those impacted in the city of

Nashville and for all of those needing healing for

God’s great love to abound and His Will to be done.

2 Preschool Corner:

Dear Preschool Families, I hope you have enjoyed all this wonderful weather as much as we have, here at school! God blessed us with many opportunities to get outside, and not just to run around....some classrooms enjoyed reading or even having circle time in the beautiful sunshine. Our indoor time has also been filled with learning through experiments, hands on activities, and play.

Please be reminded that Grandparent's Day forms are due back today, as we finalize planning for this wonderful event. If you have not yet sent paperwork in, please return as soon as possible, so we can ensure your child and their grandparents have everything they need on March 17 & 18. We are also still looking for parents to help volunteer and support this special day, and you can return the sign up form or contact Ms. Zifchak, at azifchak@royred.org if you're interested.

I also want to take a moment to personally invite all our mom's to the upcoming Mom's Night: Books on Parade, March 12, at 6:00pm. Mother's and their children will have an opportunity to enjoy a variety of games and activities, related to their favorite children's books. There will also be a photo booth, special snack, and special visitor, Local Author, Dustin Bradey. I look forward to seeing you there!
