AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE CODE OF ORDINANCESNUMBER 1113 ADOPTED MARCH 16, 2001, TO ALTER THE SCHEDULE OFFEES FOR CONSTRUCTION AND BUILDING PERMITS.

WHEREAS, The City of Fairhope desires to ensure proper constructionstandards are utilized to provide for adequate health, public safety, and welfareof our citizens; and,

WHEREAS, The City of Fairhope desires to be competitive in the user feescharged so as to adequately cover the expenses incurred by the City inenforcing established construction standards;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA:

3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, If any subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of thisordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by acourt of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of theremaining portions of this ordinance.

4. EFFECTIVE DATE, This ordinance shall be in full force and effect October 17,2005, and upon its adoption and publication as provided by law.
