When attending a school outside your neighborhood or one that has high selectivity, an application process is necessary. However, neighborhood schools offer open enrollment. For list of schools and for more info on CPS schools please visit http://www.cps.edu

Selective Enrollment- High School

Selective Enrollment High Schools provide academically advanced high school students with a challenging and enriched college preparatory experience. They offer a rigorous curriculum with primarily honors and AP courses.

High schools include: Brooks, Jones, King, Lane, Lindblorn, Northside, Walter Payton, South Shore, Westinghouse, and Whitney Young

Application process is needed and the selection process is highly competitive.

At least one of the following testing results are required: ISAT Terra Nova, Stanford Achievement Test 10 ITBS Woodcock Johnson Achievement Test 3 Wechsler Individual Achievement Test 3

Applications are due annually on December 14th and can be accessed at https://apply.cps.edu

Neighborhood School

Students within boundary area are given enrollment priority. However, students who live elsewhere can still apply (applicants will be randomly accepted for the available spaces through a computerized lottery)
