• CXC English Language (General Grade I),
• GCE General Paper (Grade A or B), • GCE English Language (Grade A or 1
or 2), TOEFL (a minimum writing score of 22+), UWIDEC/Open Campus Language Skills and Communication (Grade ≥ B),
• a Pass in FDMU 0005 or • a Pass in ELPT.
FOUN 1101 Caribbean Civilisation None
FOUN 1103 Argument and Report Writing Any ONE (1) of the following: • CXC English Language (General
Grade I), • CAPE Communication Studies (Grade I
or II), • GCE General Paper (Grade A or B), • GCE English Language (Grade A or 1
or 2), TOEFL (a minimum writing score of 22+), UWIDEC/Open Campus Language Skills and Communication (Grade ≥ B),
• a Pass in FDMU 0005 or • a Pass in ELPT.
FOUN 1104 Writing About Literature
FOUN 1105 Scientific and Technical Writing
FOUN 1106 Academic English for Research Purposes • CAPE Communication Studies (Grade I or II). These students must NOT read FOUN 1001.
