Hamdard College of Medicine & Dentistry aims to provide a holistic approach to medical education. We realize that our students are in a very important period in their lives, and their stay with us will have very profound repercussions not only in their future lives, also to their families and ever widening spheres of influence as they mature into more and more useful member of our society. During their four or five years of stay with us, we endeavor to impart modern medical teaching with a view to make them elegant yet humble doctors and dentists, ready to face the challenges of serving the underserved population of our country in addition to being able to look after their own immediate families. At Hamdard College of Medicine, we have started fully integrated curriculum, encouraging our students to consider the whole patient in the settings of their surroundings and communities from the start of their medical education. Our entire faculty emphasizes a team based, patient centered approach. At the moment we are also focusing on improving and modernizing our facilities at all the departments of the College. We encourage prospective students and their parents/guardians to visit our website and also to physically visit us. Teaching to students is provided at Madinat al-Hikmah, Hamdard University Hospital, Taj Medical Complex, Naimat Begum Hamdard University Hospital, Hamdard University Dental Hospital and Sindh Rangers Hospital, Karachi. We have converted Naimat Begum Hospital into modern, well equipped 240 bedded general hospital with ICU facilities and round the clock emergency services. This is with a view to providing excellent quality affordable healthcare to our populace and for teaching of our students and help fulfill the dreams of our founding Chancellor, Shaheed Hakim Mohammad Said. Faculty of Health Medical Sciences has also started graduate program in physical therapy (Doctor of Physical Therapy) as trained people in this field are not easily available. Finally, I wish successful future for all those who want to pursue their career in medical fields.
