ManualThe purpose of this manual is for the user to be able to utilise this “bat mobile”, vehicle correctly.One of the features that stands out about this manual is the large bold typography that is viable on the headings on both pages. One of the main reasons to why this might have happened is due to the fact that this will allow the user to be able to effectively manoeuvre their way though the page.

The clarity of this manual Is very clear, one of the main reasons for this is clear by the fact that diagrams and the text is clearly laid out. One of the main reasons why I suggest this is due to the fact that both use bold typography in order to covey the instructions to the reader in a more effective manner.The only colours that have been used in this manual is that of black and white, as a result of this first of all the manual will be cheaper to produce as well as being easier so read.

The manner of the language that is being used in this manual also has clarity, this is due to the fact that the language that is used in this particular manual is easy to read and understand as a result of the use of typography as well as clarity has resulted in the manual looking clean.

As a result of this clean layout children will not have any issues when handling the toy, and furthermore utilising all of the features contained within it.

How to guideIn this particular guide there is a large focus on typography by highlighting keywords in order to convey the main points that are present in the guide. As a result of this the use of clarity has made the guide more accessible to people as a result of the main points being highlighted.

Clarity is also another main focus that is evident in this guide, this is as a result of the simple diagrams that are displayed on the guide to again, to convey the main points that the text is trying to communicate to the reader.

The guide also manages to effectively communicate to the reader as a result of the use of a simple colour scheme. The use of a simple colour scheme also includes a multitude of different benefits when designing the guide.For example you will more than likely be spending less time on designing the guide due to the lack of tools that will be needed to finish the final product.

The colour white has been used to a great effect in this guide, this is fairly evident by the fact that points that the creator has identified as being the most important to the reader, this has also been done as the backgrounds that white has been used on generally will not clash with bright colours, this is . As a result of this the irregular white text stands out on top of the backgrounds that they have been presented to the audience.

The dialog that has been used contains easy, clear and understandable language. As a result of this I could understand if this leaflet was aimed at a younger audience that might in fact not own phones, this is clear by the use of a small cartoon robot lining each of the steps that are listed. Consequently this could mean that the aim is to make children want to read to leaflet if it was to come though the door and not to simply just trash it, but alternatively to ensure they read it as a result of the easy layout and comical character decorating it, thus possibly passing on the information contained within to their parents / guardians.

LeafletThe use of a base solid colour in this leaflet allows the black and white text to stand out clearly, despite this the use of bright colours have made it so that the white text is hard to read, as a result of this the pages are quite glaring to look at.

The overall atheistic of this leaflet is eye catching as a result of the minimalistic design, this is evident as a result of the lack of images that are present. Despite this there are a series of images decorating each title and subject, this has likely been done to draw the readers attention to the top of each page in order to follow clear lines of text from the top of each page to the bottom. This is because of the clear block colours that are used on each page thus allowing for the readers eye to easily and correctly follow the layout that this designer has created.

Despite this there are some very evident issues that are present, for example the use of a pale yellow for the use of headers and imagery, with having a yellow background was not an effective design decision. This is evident by the way that the two colours furiously clash on the page, thus correlating to how effectively the information is conveyed to the audience. If I was to improve this point, utilising the cyan or salmon colours on each connected pages instead of the yellow, would not only fix the problem, but would also ensure an even greater amount of synergy between the colours used in this leaflet.

Factual journalismThe layout of this page is rather common place with what is found on within factual journalism. For example there is the title of the published paper in the top 6th of the front cover with a large advertisement followed by the main head-line with a sub story to the right.The majority of the cover is black text printed onto of a white background. As a result of this all of the information that has been printed in this fashion is easy to read.There is also a clear use of structure on this cover, this is clear by the strong use of boxes to enclose the different stories, because of this this the readers eye will follow its way across as the creator of this cover has intended.

The utilisation of typography contained within this media is much more evident then that of the last 3 examples. This is clear as a result of the extensive use of bold text in order to place more emphasis on key points and head lines. Colour and font has been used in order to make certain points pop out to the audience, for example under the publication’s title there is a colourful gradient containing text explaining about the free cookery book that is contained within the next issue of this newspaper. In order to ensure that you do not miss this offer, the text exclaiming this point has a very strong and angular yellow font that does not synergise well with anything else contained within the front page of this publication.
