27,000 jobs …

… are provided by all the companies operating at Zurich Airport. These range over 100 different occupations, making the airport a highly diverse and attractive place to work. Around 650 training places offer young people professional perspectives.

5 billion Swiss francs of added value …… are generated directly and indirectly by all the companies at Zurich Airport. This is equivalent to close to 4% of the GDP of the Canton of Zurich. The major-ity is generated in the aviation sector but, thanks to the airport’s excellent location, restaurants and retailers also contribute to the high added value.

12,000 overnight tourists a day …… thanks to global direct flights and consequently the comparatively easy accessibility of Switzer land. Swiss tourism is also increasingly benefiting as a result of the rising importance of flying as a mode of transport for for-eign visitors in recent years.
