Amy Winehouse Fragile, rebellious and self-destructive, Amy Winehouse sang an eclectic mix of jazz, soul, pop, reggae and rhythm & blues. She enjoyed success with ‘Rehab’, ‘You Know I’m No Good’ and ‘Valerie’ and was described by George Michael as the best female vocalist he had ever heard. She died at 27 of an overdose in 2011. Missy Elliott An eclectic artist, Missy Elliott began her career as a back-up rap singer and then as part of the group Sista, before going solo in 1996. Her hits include ‘I Want You Back’, ‘Get Ur Freak Out’, ‘One Minute Man’, and ‘Work It’. U2 U2 formed in 1976 and have enjoyed continued international success since the early 1980s with songs such as ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’, ‘Pride’, ‘Mysterious Ways’ and ‘Vertigo’. Still performing, the band has now moved from stadium concerts to smaller more intimate venues, and in 2004 teamed up with iTunes for innovative promotion of their music. eir stand on human rights issues has seen lead singer Bono awarded with a Nobel Peace Prize.
