6.0 REPAIR/ RENOVATION OF BUILDINGS:- It has been done as per task sheets and the BOQ has been Provided in APPENDIX 1(a)
7.0 RATES.- (1) CIVIL WORK:-
The CPWD rates circulated by the Chief Engineer have been taken as a base of working out the cost INDEX for the year 19999 in respects of the items of civil works.
(ii) ELECTRICAL WORK:-
The rates circulated by the Chief Engineer U.P.P.W.D. circulated in the year 1988 have been adopted and a cost INDEX of 50% has been applied to work out the cost at 1999 price level.
(iii) The cost of non schedule items have been taken on the present market rates.
(iv) The cost of new additions and alterations in the existing Building areas to bring them to norms has been calculated On the plinth area rates of the U.P.P.W.D. in absence of- (i) Safe bearing capacity of soil. (ii) Detailed Architectural & Structural designs. Similarly the costing of new water supply system has been adopted on lump sum based our experience of forty years in the field.
