Faces of Change:
Nature’s Champions22 June—8 September, daily from 11am.
We’re looking forward to welcoming families to
the National Trust and National Portrait Gallery
partnership exhibition Faces of Change:
Nature’s Champions. Over 30 portraits will be
on display in the Picture Gallery and there will be
family activities and information around 12 key
portraits that sparked the interest and
imagination of local school children and
members of the Attingham team.
Help make a cartoon caricature
20, 28 July, 3, 10, 18, 31 August, 2-5pm. Join Cartoonist Malcolm Whittall—who plays
the character of ‘The Marsh Monster From
Plastic Pond’ -in the mansion at Attingham
and feature in a family portrait inspired by the
exhibition Faces of Change: Nature's
Champions.
Mae Flower Dance Performance and Workshop 23, 24, 30 and 31 August 11.30am -12.30pm and 2.30-3.30pm.
Four short dances based around the four elements of earth, water,
fire and air have been choreographed in response to 'Faces of
Change: Natures Champions', bringing us closer to nature through
dance and our own movement. Become part of the dance with dance
based family workshops between each act. Dances take
place outside the Mansion, pre-book your place for the
family workshops or turn up on the day to see the dances!
Relaxed visits to the exhibition 27 June, 18, 20, 28 July, 15 August, 15 September,
10.30am.
With reduced numbers of visitors, we aim to offer a calm
and quiet visit giving people on the autism spectrum a
less stressful experience to enjoy the art
before the day starts at 11am. Booking
essential as places limited.

A BSL interpreter will be at the
exhibition alongside our Nature’s
Champions guides helping
visitors to get the most out of
their visit to the exhibition.

what life was like in the mansion, and running free in the field of play. Join us for some special
activities and events through the summer and #GrowYourGreenRoots in the Shropshire sunshine.
From Deer Park safari rides, to Family Wildlife Days, to a summer exhibition, and to ideas for
exploring nature under your own steam with ‘50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4’ - there’s
something for everyone and more than one way to be a Nature Champion!

Bird Mist Netting 12 , 26 August, 3pm-7pm.
Join our outdoors team as we use a mist net to gently catch, ring and
then release the birds who are using the River Tern as a highway as
they migrate. Suitable for ages 7+.

Family Wildlife Days 31 July, 28 August, 10am—2pm.
Join our skilled learning team for a family day based around our
popular Wildlife school programme. Including Deer Park Safari,
pond dipping and a woodland walk off the beaten track. £9 per
adult, £7 per child, pre-booking essential.
Orienteering with
Wrekin Orienteers 24 July, 7, 21 August, 11am—3pm.
Explore the park as you find your
way using the orienteering trail.

Courtyard Stories 27 July, 3, 15, 22 August
Our resident storyteller will be sharing stories from
Attingham's historic stables with a humorous edge. £3
per child.
