Innately Invisible. The fiend is invisible.

Lightning Absorption. Whenever the fiend is subjected to lightning damage, it takes no damage and regains a number of hit points equal to the lightning damage dealt.

Running Leap. With a 5-foot running start, the fiend can long jump up to 5 ft.

ACTIONSTendril. Melee Weapon Attack +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d4 + 1) bludgeoning damage and if the target is a creature it is grappled (escape DC 11).

A humanoid slain by this attack rises 1 minute later as a faceless fiend under the fiend's control unless the humanoid is restored to life or its body is destroyed.

Faceless FiendThrough horrific arcane undertakings on psychic mortals, the floating terrors known as faceless fiends were brought into existence. These telekinetic experimentations yanked the brains of psychic mortals from their deceased bodies, turning them into disembodied, slithering fiends attached to spinal columns. Through a bizarre mutation, eye stalks sprouted from the squishy cerebellums and long tendrills allowed the hideous creatures to move about, even allowing them to leap at their prey.

Invisible Brood. The magic that created the faceless fiends also gave them sentience and turned them invisible. Using their tendrils, they attack other mortals, digging into their spines and draining their victims of blood. Once completely drained, the spine and brain is expunged out of the body, creating a new faceless fiend in the process.

Electric Hunger. Faceless fiends seek out sources of electricity which they feed upon. They can be found lurking around magic sanctums where experiments are conducted using electricity and have been known to swarm the countryside in a frenzy during lightning storms.
