PE classes will be conducted outside (when weather allows) and in the library. The gym will also be utilized for instruction where students will be divided.

Static groups will move independently of other groups to allow for social distancing in the hall during all transitions. K-8 will be eating with their static groups alternating, on a weekly basis, between the classroom and the cafeteria. Teachers will be moving to teach classes in the students’ homeroom in order for the students to remain in their homeroom classroom.

Teachers will be taking students outside for breaks and class time when weather permits.

CHANGING OF CLASSES/LOCKERSStudents will remain in their Homeroom class while teachers will transition to their respective classrooms for instruction.

    Students will not utilize lockers.

Students will be allowed to bring water bottles instead of utilizing water fountains for use throughout the day.

DAILY SANITATIONWe have invested in professional cleaning materials to ensure the proper cleaning and disinfecting of the buildings throughout the day and at the end of each day. We have hand-sanitizing stations in all classrooms, gymnasiums, libraries, cafeterias and all offices throughout the school. High-touch services will be cleaned several times a day, including playground and PE equipment. Our restrooms will be sanitized several times throughout the day.

WATER BOTTLESStudents are encouraged to bring 2-3 bottles of water as a means of attempting to prevent the sharing of germs at water fountains. All elementary water fountains are shut off at this time in order to alleviate germs being spread. Elementary water bottles must be labeled with their name.

MASSESAs with previous years, Masses for elementary students will be each Wednesday (with the exception of scheduled Confessions), following the social distancing guidelines set forth for churches by the Diocese.

ASSEMBLIESAssemblies (when needed) will be divided into groups.

*COVID signs/procedures will be posted at the entrance and throughout the school.

CELL PHONESAs a means of preventing the sharing of germs when storing phones in bins, K-8 students are not allowed to bring cell phones onto campus.

OFFICE STAFFThe main office has a permanent glass window to serve as a divider between office staff, students and the public.

A secluded “quarantine room” will be available near the main office for students who are ill to remain while waiting for parents to retrieve them. This room will be sanitized after each use.
