Community Information - The vast Appalachian Mountain Range runs through Fabius and creates many opportunities for residents to explore and enjoy nature. Fabius is located at the most northern part of the Alleghany Mountain Range and is surrounded by rural beauty. The town was founded in 1798 and includes Highland Forest park. This beautiful park offers horseback riding, some of the finest cross country ski trails in New York, sleigh rides and you can also find the Pioneer Museum here. A golf country club and ski center are nearby.
