to the other end(receiving shaft)

using steel pipes to form a horizontal

and vertical temporary structure (

around the proposed reinforced box

culvert.)

Adopted Solution 2-3

The pipe roof (see below Sketch

)comprises rows of 780mm dia Steel pipes

(10 on top and bottom and 6 rows on each

sides to form the vertical wall.

Each row of the steel pipes -interlock

together using steel T- clutches prefabricated

together with the pipes.

Each row of the pipe which is

approximately 54m is formed

by welding together 9 to 10 number (

6 m long ) of steel pipe using the full

butt penetration welds
