From the Club House We appreciate all of your continued support in the grill and banquet rooms. We’ve had a lot of families enjoying dinner and utilizing the banquet facilities. Remember to call and book your events early because available dates are filling up fast. It’s also a good idea to make dinner reservations as well. As the weather cools off we will continue to offer outdoor seating with heaters and the fire pits available for your comfort. We are continuing to keep everything inside and outside sanitized for your safety. If you would like to place meat orders call or text Barb 304-669-9866 by 5:00 Wednesday for delivery on Friday. We are offering filets, NY strips, ribeyes, ground beef, chicken, salmon and shrimp for you to take home and cook. Prices will be determined when ordered. MENS GOLF

BCC Men’s Fall Invitational Results

We had a great weekend for our Inaugural BCC Men’s Fall Invitational. A big Congrats

to our Overall Winners Chris Abruzzino and

Joe Casalinuova. Chris and Joe edged out the

team of Jeff Hill and Ryan Mason by 1 shot

finishing with a 2-day total of 129.

Friday Evening, we had our steak cookout

and putting contest. Jeff Hill and Donnie Snyder took home first place by winning a 3

team putt-off!

Saturday Afternoon we ran a Par 3 Contest

on the Back 9. The team of Jerry Roberts and

Robin Roberts won the net event while the team of Scott Schield and Phillip Penn took

home the gross.

Men’s Golf

Congratulations to Christian Marsh who won the 2021 Individual Season Long Match Play. Christian defeated Scott Schield in the

Championship match. Great playing gentleman throughout the season!

MGA Dues and 2-Man/Individual Match Play

Fees will be charged in October. Thank you to

everyone for a great tournament season and

competing in our events! Player of the Year and Most Improved Golfer will be decided after the Presdent’s Cup is

played.

MGA SHOOTOUT!- October 16th- Top 20 Players in MGA Points standings after the Presdient’s Cup are eligible to compete in the MGA Shootout. Please

The Driving Range will be closed October 11th and the Tee will remain Closed for the remainder of the season. We will be doing maintenance on the tee box to prepare it for the 2022 Season. Please do not hit off the tee box so that we may

have it in great shape for next year. Golf Course Maintenance- The Fairways, Tee Boxes and Approaches have been

aerified. Our Greens will undergo aerification on October 18th and 19th. Please contact the golf shop for availability during this time. This practice is necessary for great playing surfaces and should take about 10 days to heal with good weather.

Pro-Shop Credit must be spent by November 30th.

WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION OF BCC

Tuesday, October 5th was the “official” end to Tuesday play

for the Women’s Golf Association. The ladies played the front

nine as a par 3 – teeing off at the 150-yard marker on the par

4’s and par 5’s and from the beginning of the fairway on the

par 3’s. The format made for an interesting 9 holes of golf and

a lot of fun for those participating! Lowest net score award

(golf balls) went to Gloria Hawkins with a 26. Cindy Davis

had the closest to the pin on #8 from the beginning of the

fairway and Tammy Hamner had the longest putt on #9.

End of season awards were given to the following people: Deb

Cherubino for her victory in the WV Pin competition, Marra

Johnson who won the President’s Cup, and to Rita Robbins

who won Most Improved Golfer (14 strokes), most pars (12)

and most birdies (1). The handicap tournament is not

completed yet, but Mary Ann Renzelli and Robin Ward will

play within the next two weeks, and we will have the winner

in November’s newsletter.

After golf, the ladies enjoyed lunch in the grill room,

unanimously re-elected Kathy George and Rita Robbins as

President and Vice President of the association and just had a

great afternoon of camaraderie talking about golf!

The women will continue to play Tuesdays at 10, weather

permitting. Looking forward to some great fall golf!
