Are your parents or friends and neighbors asking you questions about Medicare, insurance plans or prescription drug plans that you find difficult to answer? If so, then the APPRISE program is here to help! We provide free, confiden-tial health insurance counseling for people with Medicare. Diakon Community Services’ APPRISE program, funded under a contract with the Schuylk-ill County Office of Senior Services, has helped many people over the years and continues to in-crease its outreach. Some of the ways we can help:

Counselors work one-on-one with you to dis-cuss insurance options and explain benefits that are unique to your situation.

Medicare Open Enrollment events are held in several locations around the county from Octo-ber 15 - December 7.

Counselors can assist with applying for a variety of Medicare related benefits.

Speakers available to present Medicare infor-mation to your group or organization.

If you are uncertain about what your benefits are, having problems accessing them or not sure what is available to you call Sue at 570-624-3026 or email her at [email protected] and we’ll get you going on the right track!
