The problem
• The internet can be intimidating and complex for many people
• Browsers currently make this worse• Instead, they could make it better

The answer
• Cut back interface elements to the bare minimum – elements that are most useful to the target audience
• Replace jargon with clear signposting• Friendly clear copy and visuals• Large obvious buttons, clickable things that feel
clickable• Clear (but not overwhelming) help function• Use of existing conventions – where appropriate

devices, screenreaders, speech input etc.
