All children can be tagged, but when observations are sent to individual parents and carers, only the relevant faces will show, supporting safeguarding regulations within your setting. Footsteps 2 includes a suite of photo-editing tools, meaning you can rotate, crop and adjust the brightness and contrast of photos, and apply a selection of filters whilst creating an observation.

New and improved summative assessments help you record each child’s strengths and learning needs. Footsteps 2 includes a new two-year check assessment as well as an improved version of the EYFS profile.

Two-year check assessments give an additional insight into a child’s progress – helping you identify areas of development or improvement needed. This is in addition to the improved EYFS profile which gives a summary of the child’s progress throughout their time in your setting.
