Road to the Horse 2020: A Family Affair for theCameronsFORT WORTH, TEXAS, May 1, 2019— Horseman and clinician Craig Cameronhad the honor of announcing his son, Cole Cameron, as a Road to the Horse2020 Wild Card competitor during Road to the Horse 2019. Beaming withpride, Craig was overjoyed to see his son follow in his footsteps. The 2010Road to the Horse Champion, Craig Cameron has been a regular characterat Road to the Horse and fans have a deep affection for his infectious laughand charismatic smile.

But his days as a competitor are no longer a thing of the past! Craig haslonged to return to Road to the Horse competition for many years. Now, ashe celebrates the ten-year anniversary of his championship, he’ll be walkingback into the round pen to battle for a second Road to the Horse title onMarch 19-22, 2020, in Lexington, Kentucky.

“I have been associated with Road to the Horse since the very beginning, asa contestant, a champion, a Horseman’s Host and a commentator. My rootsrun deep with Road to the Horse, as does my heart,” Craig stated. “Fromthe bottom of my heart, I want to say it is truly an honor to be invited back

in 2020. As always, I’ll be coming with both pistols locked and loaded, a bigthank you to Road to the Horse and my loyal fans.”

A veteran competitor, Craig competed in the event in 2005, 2006 and 2010,as well as in the 2012 international team event which saw him partneredwith Pat Parelli. It was 2010 when Craig fulfilled a lifelong dream by claiminghis Road to the Horse Championship title.

“It’s been ten years since Craig Cameron has walked into Road to the Horseas a competitor but his desire to compete is stronger than ever,” statedWestern Horseman Publisher Ernie King. “Craig is a cowboy’s cowboy. He isthe epitome of the Western lifestyle, not only in his horsemanship but alsoin his values of loyalty, hard work, and honor that lie in his heart.

O.H.I.O EXCA is ready for the Extreme CowboyRace season thanks to CRAZY AWESOME CLUBMEMBERS!With the Rumble at Riverland (a practice race) under our belt,  we were

blessed to witness our club members rise to the occasion in support of ourmission of Opening doors to Horses, Insights and Obstacles.  Membersshared in providing generous donations for door prizes, deliciousconcessions (benefiting youth member Ayla Holmes’ Mustang Makeoverproject), and their time and smarts needed to successfully produce thisfriendly and fun EXCA practice experience.  Member Jamie Darrah sang aheartwarming rendition of the national anthem and member LeAnnMallernee provided a meaningful prayer.  Member Tammy Gradijan is now acertified EXCA judge and provided excellent instruction and scores to ourparticipants, from novice to the very skilled.  Member Sean Hagerty invitedFishers Council, and 3 of their youth were helpful volunteers and greatlyappreciated!  Our season could not happen without the crazy awesomesupport of our many club members.

By the time you read this, we will have completed our 1st of 3 2019Eastern Ohio Obstacle Series sanctioned EXCA races with the accomplishedLee Hart in town on 4/26 to provide a clinic, then staying until 4/27 to enterour race and help judge. 

We invite you to enter our 2nd and 3rd races on 6/29 and 8/17, or just joinour club to enjoy your equine partner with others.  While we support thosewho want to race, our club is so much more than racing.  Check us out onFacebook, or contact us for more information.
