First journeyIn 1603 Tasman set off again he was going well to find some

new island’s but a big island was stopping him he named it New

Zealand.

Famous forAbel Tasman was famous for finding New Zealand but maori was already there they blew a horn meaning do you want to

fight? Abel Tasman blew a horn saying yes the Maori did the fight they killed three men and injured

one.
