STUDIO RULES & PROCEDURESParkingSafety is our number one concern. EOD and its landlord request that you enter the parking lot slowly and park in available spaces that are not reserved. Please do not pull up directly in front of the studio to drop off or wait for your child as this poses a danger to students entering and exiting the building. We ask that you be respectful of our neighbors and not park in any reserved spaces. Please limit parking to the following areas: • Row of spaces in front of building • Spaces to the right upon entering front door • Across the street in the 623 Selvaggio lot • Far end of the building around the corner Waiting AreaParents and students are to stay in the waiting area while classes are in session. Please refrain from looking in classroom windows and waiting in the hallway leading to the studios as this causes a distraction to the students. Food and drink are permitted in the waiting area only. Office The office is for our staff only. If you need to make a payment or purchase attire and shoes, please come to the window to see Nicole. Office hours are generally Mon - Thu 2pm - 8pm and Sat 9:15am - 12:30pm. The office is closed on Fridays. Dressing Room The dressing room is for girls only. Boys are to change in the bathroom. No food or drink is permitted in the dressing room. Parents are to wait in the waiting area. Students should not touch other’s belongings. Students are to put their initials INSIDE their dance shoes and a name on his/her dance bag. Please do not bring expensive devices because EOD is not responsible for lost or stolen items.Lost & Found A box for lost and found items is in the waiting area. Shoes are left in the office to claim. Any items unclaimed are taken to charity in December & June. Bathrooms Younger students and children are to be accompanied by an adult. Please flush the toilet after each use. Only boys are to use the bathrooms as a dressing room.Fundraisers Optional fundraisers are offered at EOD. The percent earned will be credited to your account. If your child drops a class, all credits will be lost. Fundraisers not paid by deadline will not receive full credit. In order to participate in any fundraiser, you MUST be available for pick up during the designated day/time. If your order is not picked up, you will not be permitted to participate in future fundraisers at the studio.Inclement Weather Cancellations will be announced on Channel 69 WFMZ, the studio answering machine and expressionofdance.com. All cancelled classes are made up in Spring.
Recital Performance The recital is held in June at Nazareth High School. Tentative dates are June 7, 8 & 9, 2013 and will be confirmed in December. Your child will have to commit to all shows required of his/her class. Each class has 2 specific shows assigned; not all classes perform in all 4 shows. Refer to the class schedule to determine what shows are required for each class. If your child does not wish to perform in the recital, a written statement to that effect must be handed into the office by December 1st. In order to participate in the recital, the student MUST attend class regularly, perform in the required shows, wear appropriate costume (including hair, make-up, tights and shoes) and purchase the required tickets. Any student that misses more than 3 classes may be removed from recital choreography. Recital Tickets All accounts are required to purchase 3 (min) to 15 (max) recital tickets. After all orders are received, additional tickets will go on sale. All tickets are general admission. Students/performers need a ticket to watch the show. Each student will receive one complimentary ticket to one show.Recital Costume A costume is required for the recital. A $45.00 deposit for each class will be due December 8th. The balance will be due March 9th. Costume costs range from $60-$90 per costume. Once a costume is ordered, you are liable for the total costume cost along with any alterations that are needed. An additional fee will be charged if a costume needs to be returned for a different size. Students are measured with room to grow. If you have a size preference, see the office by December 1st.Newsletters Monthly newsletters are posted on the bulletin board, the EOD website and are sent via email through Constant Contact. Please check each month for important studio news, updates and deadlines. Please notify the office of any email address changes.Parent and Grandparent Visitation There is no observation of classes. Please refrain from watching through the dance room windows. Parent visitation will be held December 3rd - 15th. Grandparent visitation will be held April 15th-27th. Each class will have a specified visitation day and schedules will be listed in monthly newsletters.Studio Holidays The studio will be closed for the following holidays: Halloween - Wednesday, October 31st *NEW FOR THIS SEASON*Fall Break - Thursday, November 22nd - Monday, November 26th Winter Break - Monday, December 24th - Tuesday, January 1st Spring Break - Tuesday, March 26th - Monday, April 1st Memorial Day - Monday, May 27th

Miss Tanya
“What an amazing show you all put on... I was amazed at how well the little kids did. I would like to point out the organization and the flow of the show was fantastic. Tanya, you are a
wonderful teacher; thank you, and the daddy daughter routine was priceless.” ♥Christy P.
“LOVED the show this year! Thank you so much! The show gets better and better each year. The father/daughter dance takes the
cake! Thank you for doing that! Memories to last a lifetime!”
Teresa N.
At Expression of Dance you will find a friendly and warm atmosphere for students and parents. Parents stay informed through monthly newsletters and frequent updates to our studio bulletin board and our studio website (expressionofdance.com). Of course, if you have any questions or concerns you can contact us directly by visiting or calling the office at 610-746-2818.
We hope you will join us for another fun and exciting year at EOD!
We are so excited to begin our 18th season at Miss Tanya’s Expression of Dance!
Expression of Dance offers various classes for ages 3 to adult in beginner, advanced beginner, intermediate, advanced & competition levels. Our focus is to teach students to strive to their utmost potential while having fun. Our students learn not only dance technique, but also develop skills in disclipine and self-confidence.
Dear Parents and Students,
“Thank you Miss Tanya & all the dance teachers @ EOD for an awesome recital weekend & for inspiring my girls to be the
best they can be!!”Lori E.

AUGUST 9TH * 10AM - 2PMAUGUST 13TH * 3PM - 7PMAUGUST 15TH * 3PM - 7PMAUGUST 21st * 4PM - 6PM
**** IMPORTANT REMINDERS ****REGISTRATION: September Tuition and the Registration Fee is due upon signing up. If both September Tuition and the Registration Fee are not received, your child will not be enrolled in classes until they are paid. Please note that we DO NOT hold spots in classes for returning students. Enrollment is on a first come, first serve basis. Register early so your son/daughter gets into the class of their choice!
AUTOMATIC TUITION PAYMENTS: We encourage you to try our Monthly Tuition Automatic Payments! It’ll take the stress out of having to send in payment each month or racking up late fees on your account. You can sign up using your debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) and monthly tuition will be withdrawn from your account on the 1st of each month. A new withdrawal form is required at the beginning of each season. Forms can be found at www.expressionofdance.com or at the studio.
ABSENTEES: If your child needs to miss class, we ask that you please call the studio to let his/her teacher know. Any student missing more than 3 consecutive classes without contacting the office will be removed from their class.
STUDIO NEWS: You will receive a hard copy of the September newsletter only. After this, ALL newletters can be found on the studio bulletin board, the website and it will be emailed to you. It is important for you to provide an email address because newsletters and any additional important information will be sent out via Constant Contact. Your information will never be sold to 3rd parties. Please make sure to provide an email address that you check regularly since this is our primary form of communication.
DON’T FORGET TO LIKE US ON FACEBOOK!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
~ Registration fee and first month’s tuition is due at time of enrollment. Spots cannot
be held without proper registration form and payment.
~ EOD offers automatic payments for monthly tuition. This form must be filled out each year. Please get a form
at open house, from the office, or online if interested in this
payment method.
~ Don’t forget to read through the entire brochure for new
and updated items. Each registration form must
be signed by a parent/guardian agreeing to all policies set
forth in the brochure.
