Listening to you to make our sites safer.Our health and safety goal is simple: zero harm on any Express Asphalt site. To do that we’ve implemented an ongoing safety campaign which includes a dedicated collect customer induction video and a programme for the continuous improvement of our onsite welfare facilities.

Based on your feedback, we’ve also introduced a number of schemes and innovations to help reduce risk when your team’s working on their vehicles; for example, we’ve constructed specially designed platforms that allow workers to safely access and sheet their materials. Additionally, we pro-actively manage your employees’ safety while they’re onsite through an induction programme, which includes a short video that highlights any possible risks.

As part of a complicated, five-month project to update Doncaster’s local power network, Complete Utilities Ltd needed to find the right supplier.

The project would involve excavating a long stretch of busy road and laying 13km of 132kV circuits. Complete Utilities needed a materials supplier to support surface, verge, draining and bridge reinstatement once the circuits had been laid.

It was imperative that their chosen supplier would be able to supply asphalt on time and offer a flexible approach – making Express Asphalt perfect for the job.

Gareth Yardley, Contracts Manager at Complete Utilities said: “ With a busy road to navigate, flexibility and the ability to offer a consistent, readily available supply of asphalt was critical to the success of the reinstatement works.
