A superhero is a fictional character of "extraordinary or superhuman powers"dedicated to protecting the public. the first superhero Superman in 1938

A female superhero is sometimes called a superheroine. Superheroes began to appear in the U.S. during the Great Depression.

There are different types of superheroes:1) Many of them work in group such as the

Fantastic Four and X-Men, because they have common origins and usually they operate as a group.

2) There are also heroes who operate individually for example Flash or Captain America

3) Some superheroes, especially those introduced in the 1940s, work with a young sidekick asBatman and Robin or Captain America and Bucky

Usually, the characters do not need superhuman powers to be considered as superheroes. We can say they are considered as costumed crime fighters

Normally, superheroes use their powers to fight against some supervillains, who are usually involved in the crimes that take place in the city. Most of villains are aliens or magical entities.

Common traits • Extraordinary powers and abilities.

A Superhero has some superhuman powers as the ability to fly, or more developed senses to protect the people. Some superheroes, like Batman, do not have superhuman powers, however they have mastered skills like martial arts. And there are some of them who have special weapons or technology, such as Iron Man's powered armor suits and Green Lantern’s power ring.

\Many characters supplement their natural powers with a special weapon like Wolverine's adamantium claws.

• A strong moral code, oriented to the service of good • A motivation, such as a sense of responsibility (e.g. Spider-

Man), a formal calling (e.g., Wonder Woman), a personal vendetta against criminals (e.g. Batman), or a strong belief in justice and humanitarian service (e.g. Superman).

• A secret identity that protects the superhero's friends and family from becoming targets of his or her enemies, such as Clark Kent (Superman), although many superheroes have a confidant (usually a friend or relative who has been sworn to secrecy).

• Independent wealth (e.g., Batman or the X-Men's benefactor Professor X) or an occupation that allows for minimal supervision (e.g., Superman's civilian job as a reporter

• A number of enemies that he/she fights repeatedly. In some cases superheroes begin by fighting run of the mill criminals before super villains surface in their respective story lines. In many cases the hero is in part responsible for the appearance of these super villains (the Scorpion was created as the perfect enemy to defeat Spider-Man, and Batman with the jocker

Common costume features• A superhero's costume helps make him or her

recognizable to the general public. Costumes are often colorful to enhance the character's visual appeal and frequently incorporate the superhero's name and theme. For example, Daredevil resembles a red devil, Captain America's costume echoes the American flag, Batman resembles a large bat, and Spider-Man's costume features a spider web pattern

• Superheroes who maintain a secret identity often wear a mask, ranging from the domino masks of Green Lantern and Ms. Marvel to the full-face masks of Spider-Man and Black Panther.

• A symbol, such as a stylized letter or visual icon, usually on the chest. Examples include the uppercase "S" of Superman

Superman (Clark Joseph Kent )(1938) He was born in Kryptón but he was sent to earth by his father because his planet was destructed. He was found by a country family, and with his habities he saved the world of evel. His most important enemie was Lex Luthor

Batman (Bruce Wayne ) (1939) He was a rich bussines man. During his childhood he watched the murder of his parents, and therefore he wanted to avenge this crime.

He had some enemies, including catwoman and two faces. But the most important was the Joker

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) (1962 ) he was a teenager living with his aunt and uncle. Once, he was bitten by a radioactive spider during a science demonstration.

Therefore, he got some superhuman powers.

His enemies were, Octupus, Green Goblin and Venom
