Jabugo's special microclimate and vast pastures make it the perfect environment to rear pure Iberian pigs. Jabugo’s pastures are made up of far-stretching woodlands of holm and cork oaks, where aromatic herbs such as thyme and rosemary abound - the perfect compliment for our pigs’ diet.

This product is made from the hind limbs of Iberian pigs reared in the vast pastures of the Iberian Peninsula and fed on acorns during the Montanera fattening period.

During the production process, the ham is cooled and cut in a V shape, the outer fat is removed, then it is salted, cleaned, weighed, dried and cured in natural cellars.

Once the acorn hams have been cured in cellars, they go through a rigorous selection process to ensure that only the best pieces, which reach the most exquisite organoleptic standards and which offer unrivalled quality, are finally chosen to bear the ‘5J’ label.

5J Ham has a lingering aroma and an incomparable taste and bouquet. A black hoof and a fine hank. When sliced, it has a uniform colour with myriad shiny streaks of accumulated fat.

Olive oil is a natural and balanced irreplaceable in the Mediterranean diet. But notall olive oils are equal. The quality, flavor and aroma are a function of olive

varieties, climate, soil, how harvested and their collection. In general terms we can identify four categories of oil market:

1.Extra virgin olive oil: oil obtained directly from superior olives and solely by

mechanical means.2.Virgin olive oil: olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical

means.3.Olive oil: Olive oil contains only refined and virgin olive oils.

4.Olive-pomace oil: oil comprising exclusively oils obtained by processing oliveorjo and oils obtained directly from olives.

Of these four kinds of oils, extra virgin olive oil (1) is the finest category, it isobtained from the best olives by mechanical means, resulting in an oil with

excellent organoleptic and that can be consumed maintaining100% of its aroma and flavor.

All olive oils give our body the nutritional benefits derived from the oleic acid

content, which helps regulate cholesterol levels.

Virgin olive oil and extra virgin olive oil are rich in phenols, antioxidants, whichhelp the heart stay healthy. It is also a source of nutrients that promote the assimilation of minerals and vitamins A, D, E and K. Olive oil is an essential

ingredient in our kitchens, in salad dressing and cold dishes, its also especially useful in fried foods, baked, grilled or desserts.

The olives are small and oval. The oil is famed for its unsurpassable quality.- Obtained by cold pressing.- Acidity under 0.5º.- Tasting: delicate aroma, greenish-yellow colour, fruity taste and smooth on the palate.- Recommended for: salads, toast, dressings.
