EXPOMINA se ha consolidado como la feria especializada más grande de Lima en el sector minería, congregando a empresarios de diferentes rubros que buscan múltiples oportunidades de negocio y desarrollo en el sector minero peruano. Dicha afirmación se comprobó en nuestra edición anterior con la participación de 600 empresas proveedoras y la visita de más de 28,000 asistentes. Por tal motivo, estamos seguros que dichas cifras serán superadas en nuestra cuarta versión de EXPOMINA 2012, a realizarse del 12 al 14 de setiembre en el Centro de Exposiciones Jockey.
Gracias a la gran demanda de maquinarias, productos y servicios solicitados por el sector, se tiene el éxito asegurado; el cual se sustenta en el sólido crecimiento estimado durante los próximos cinco años. Hasta el 2016 se proyecta que se implementarán 44 nuevos proyectos mineros que ascenderían a US$ 42,451 millones en inversiones,su ejecución nos permitirá triplicar nuestra producción actual de cobre y reducir la brecha con el productor mundial, consolidando el crecimiento de la economía peruana de acuerdo al reciente reporte del Ministerio de Energía y Minas del Perú (MEM).
EXPOMINA 2012 contará además con la 3ra edición de los forums del Cobre y la Plata. Asimismo, se desarrollarán conferencias magistrales, conferencias empresariales y charlas técnicas. También se hará entrega del IV Premio EXPOMINA en los rubros de Responsabilidad Social y Ambiental para empresas mineras, contratistas y proveedores mineros.
EXPOMINA has become the largest mining trade show in the country bringing together entrepreneurs from different economic activities seeking for business and development opportunities in the Peruvian mining sector. This has been demonstrated by the success of our previous edition that gathered 600 suppliers and more than 28,000 visitors. We are sure that these numbers will be surpassed in EXPOMINA 2012, to be held from September 12 to 14 at the Jockey Convention Center.
Success is guaranteed thanks to the high demand for mining equipment, products and services within the sector and the estimated strong growth over the next five years. Because through 2016, 44 new mining projects amounting US$42,451 billion in investments will be implemented and their execution will allow us to triple our current copper production and reduce the gap between us and the global producer, thus consolidating the growth of the Peruvian economy according to the latest report issued by the Ministry of Energy and Minas of Peru (MEM).
EXPOMINA 2012 will also include the 3rd edition of copper and silver forums, in addition to keynote speeches, business conferences and technical talks. It will also take place the ceremony to grant EXPOMINA IV Award in the areas of Social and Environmental Responsibility to mining companies, contractors and suppliers.02

EXPOMINA 2012 es el evento que reúne a los más grandes líderes, ejecutivos y profesionales relacionados al sector minero, con el objetivo de fomentar la participación de empresas de otros rubros económicos que buscan iniciar o reforzar lazos comerciales con la minería. Asimismo, se trata de una excelente oportunidad para dar a conocer el avance en la ejecución de los nuevos proyectos mineros y proyecciones de crecimiento en cuanto a la producción de los diversos minerales e insumos.
EXPOMINA 2012 cuenta un área de 15,000 m2 y desarrollará la mayor feria realizada en Lima, en donde las principales empresas mineras del país, así como productores nacionales y extranjeros, podrán exhibir los diferentes productos, maquinaria, servicios y tecnología de punta, garantizando una innovadora Exhibición Minera.

EXPOMINA 2010 exceeded the invitation attracting the attendance of 28,000 people which represents an increase of 143% with respect to the previous edition. This large audience visited 600 booths of suppliers of goods, equipment and services, being remarkable the exhibition of machinery. The event included keynote speeches and 80 technical talks where the exhibitors publicized the benefits and innovations of their various products and services.
Transactions reached an estimated amount of US$120 million compared to US$50 million of the previous year. Importantly, each company made a series of appointments in order to continue to reach agreements.
In EXPOMINA 2010 there were also present eleven delegations from major mining countries as: United States, Chile, Canada, Argentina, México, Colombia, Australia, China, Italy, Spain and Brazil, demonstrating its importance both nationally and internationally, thus allowing us to claim to be the largest and most important mining event in Lima.
EXPOMINA 2010 superó la convocatoria de la anterior edición con 28,000 asistentes, lo que representó un incremento del 143%. Los visitantes recorrieron 600 stands de empresas proveedoras de suministros, equipos y servicios, destacando la exhibición de maquinarias. Asimismo, se desarrollaron conferencias magistrales y 80 charlas técnicas, en las cuales los exhibidores presentaron los beneficios e innovaciones de diversos productos y servicios.
Se alcanzó un monto estimado de negocios de U$ 120 millones frente a los U$ 50 millones que se obtuvieron el año anterior. Cabe destacar que cada empresa generó una serie de citas, a fin de continuar concretando acuerdos.
EXPOMINA 2010 contó además con once delegaciones de los principales países mineros del mundo, con participación de empresas de: Estados Unidos, Chile, Canadá, Argentina, México, Colombia, Australia, China, Italia, España y Brasil; demostrando así la importancia que ha generado este evento tanto a nivel nacional e internacional, motivo por el cual podemos afirmar que es el evento minero más grande e importante de Lima.

In line with the activities of EXPOMINA 2012, these forums will bring together executives of producing and trading companies of both metals in order to promote discussion and exchange of information to analysis copper and silver industries.

Our classification as one of the world’s largest copper producers and the important announcements made on investments have put Peru in the spotlight of world mining, making a planned development of the local red metal industry vital.
In this sense, the Copper Forum will analyze the latest changes in the price of this metal, the total production classified by regions and main products, as well as the production projections for the coming years
SILVER IN PERU
Silver production has had an excellent position in the world classification in recent years, but recently Mexico took the first place, so it is imperative to develop strategies and actions necessary to restore this important position.
Therefore, representatives of silver leading producers will address the national and international context of this metal, analyzing its production expectations, its current and future price and the right scenario to promote and give added value to this important resource.

Enmarcados dentro de las actividades de EXPOMINA 2012, éstos fórums reunirán a ejecutivos de las empresas productoras y comercializadoras de ambos metales, a fin de fomentar el debate e intercambio de información que permita un análisis de las industrias del cobre y de la plata.
Las reuniones se desarrollarán en paralelo, presentando a las empresas que producen y transforman ambos metales en valor agregado. Se hará también una evaluación del desarrollo de la industria nacional, así como las autoridades que velan por su puesta en marcha.
EL COBRE EN EL PERú
Nuestra ubicación en el ranking mundial de productores de cobre, y los importantes anuncios en inversiones, nos coloca en la mira de la minería mundial, haciendo vital un desarrollo planificado de la industria nacional del metal rojo.
En este sentido, en el fórum del cobre se analizarán las últimas variaciones en el precio de este metal, la producción total y categorizada en regiones y principales productos, así como las proyecciones de producción para los próximos años.
LA PLATA EN EL PERú
La producción de plata ha tenido una excelente posición en el ranking mundial en los últimos años, pero recientemente México nos arrebató el primer lugar, por lo que es imperioso desarrollar estrategias y accio-nes necesarias para recuperar esta importante posición.
Por ello, representantes de las principales empresas productoras de plata, abordarán el contexto nacional e internacional de dicho metal, analizando las expectativas de producción, el precio actual y futuro y el escenario adecuado para impulsar y otorgarle un valor agregado a este importante recurso.
