Jason and his family are chatting after dinner about their plans for the

weekend. They are thinking of going skiing together.

Jason: Hey Dad, what are you doing this Friday?

Jason’s Dad: Well, I’ve got to get the car fixed. Why?

Jason: I was thinking we could go on a family trip. What will

you be doing on Saturday, Mum?

Jason’s Mum: Well, I don’t have any plans yet. What do you plan to

do?

Jason: How about skiing at Big Bear?

Jason’s Brother: Yes! Let’s go skiing at Big Bear! Mum, Dad! I want to

go skiing!

Jason’s Dad: Okay, I will get the car fixed on Friday. Then, we will

leave for Big Bear on Saturday morning. How’s that?

Jason’s Mum: Sounds good. I will prepare the food. You guys will

prepare the skiing gear.

Jason: Great! Mum, are you doing anything this evening? I

need to borrow the car to go buy some ski jackets.

Jason’s Mum: Sure, you can have it. Be careful.

Jason’s Brother: I will go with you!

I’ll take many nice pictures too!

Do you have any plans later this

evening?

I’m going to the film festival at the

Brussels Theater.

Are you going with your friends? No, I’m going alone. Do you want to

Michael is calling the travel agent to book a tour to Europe.

Travel Agent: Thanks for calling Golden Travel. How may I help you?

Michael: I'd like to book a tour package.

Travel Agent: Okay, where would you like to go? And when would you

like to depart?

Michael: I plan to go to the southern European countries. I’m

going to leave on the 1st of June.

Travel Agent: All right. We have one-week, two-week and one

month-long packages. Which are you interested in?

Michael: I'll probably go for the two-week tour.

Travel Agent: Great. And how many people will you be traveling with?

Michael: I will be traveling with three friends. So there will be four

of us. I might have another friend coming too.

Travel Agent: I see, so there might be four or five people. I will email

the tour itinerary to you. Could you give me your email

address?

Michael: Sure. It is [email protected].

Next year, an improved version of the

BMW 5 series sedan will be released. I

just read the news on the Internet.

Five years later, we might be using

smartphones about the size of our

thumbs!

In 10 years’ time, it may take only an

hour to fly to the US!

Fifty years later, we could be traveling

around the world in air pods!
