TO BE AN EXPLORER, YOU MUST:• Be between the ages of 14 and 20 (to apply) • Be in high school or college • Be in good disciplinary standing at school • Maintain at least a "C" grade average

• Obtain parent's or guardian's consent (if under 18) • Have no significant criminal history • Be a US citizen or Law Permanent Resident residing in the US • Have an interest in law enforcement

If you are interested in becoming a CBP Explorer, or in learning more about the program, complete the information below, and email it to the Customs and Border Protection Explorer Program mailbox at CBPEXPLORERPROGRAM@cbp.dhs.gov. We will then direct you to the Explorer Advisor closest to your location.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are already 20, and you will turn 21 within the next six months, it will not allow you sufficient time to apply and be selected to participate before you become ineligible. After 21, you will no longer meet the program eligibility requirements established by the Learning for Life, Boy Scouts of America.
