•AFS Started in 1990 as a volunteer effort

•City of Santa Barbara provided a hangar on

airport property in 1992

•Umbrella agreement with the Santa

Barbara County Education Office in 1992

• Joined Community Environmental Council in 1995

• Moved into 302 E. Cota in 1997

• Disengaged from CEC in 2006

Watershed Resource Center

• Located at Arroyo Burro (Hendry’s) Beach

• Provide water quality education programs

• 4,800 students attend WRC Center programs/year

• WRC is open to the public every 2nd Sunday of the

month (includes beach clean-up)
