What is Explore?
Explore (five weeks for 16-year-olds and older) is an intensive language-learning course in French or English.
More than 7,600 bursaries are awarded for Explore.
Explore has 65 spring and summer sessions offered from May to August, in 50 institutions across Canada.
Open to all students
Bursaries are awarded by random selection and are based on quotas.
Each province and territory has a quota that determines the number of bursary recipients.
Each institution has a quota that determines the number of bursary recipients it can receive.
Eligibility criteria
Full-time student
Canadian or permanent resident
Have completed one term of full-time studies during the current school year
Have completed at least grade 11 or is at the postsecondary level
The bursary
$2,000 bursary per recipient
Given directly to the institution for: Tuition Meals Accommodation Instructional materials Activities

Morning Three and a half hours of formal
instruction in class per day

Priority is given to first-time candidates.
Some courses are credit courses.
